They need to have a microphone you have to all stand around one counter to hear when your order is ready.

Rudest manager, visit was 2 months ago. Talking badly about an older woman using a soup cup to drink water out of it. How about u offer her a cup.

Classic avo toast was soggy. Toast should never be soggy. Ruins the flavor. Coffee was excellent and sip club is recommended even if you go once a day its a good deal.

The pickup line in front of the drink fountain by the nook has too much going on in one tight spot.

Grilled cheese and tomato soup, with Americano. Still delicious. The street corn chowder is good!

So me and my wife went to Panera for breakfast in leawood kansas, you know, to try something “wholesome,” “clean,” and “flavor-adjacent.” We walk in, and the whole place smells like warm ambition and beige. It’s got that upscale hospital waiting room vibe like someone’s about to offer me a gluten-free IV drip. We order. I get a breakfast sandwich that sounds fancy: “Avocado, Egg White & Spinach on Sprouted Grain Flatbread.” Translation: Sad omelet between two yoga mats.
My wife orders something with bacon avocado bread and hope. She takes one bite, looks at me, and says, “This tastes like compromise.” I nod. We eat in silence. Two grown adults chewing softly, like we’re both thinking about what we’ve done to deserve this.
The coffee? Eh. Hot. Present. Probably filtered through a mesh made of regret and recycled Whole Foods receipts.
And listen we’re not mad. No hard feelings. Panera didn’t hurt us.
It just… didn’t hug us either.
It was like going on a blind date with someone who lists “room temperature water” as their favorite drink.
Only saving grace? The oatmeal.
Warm, soft, and full of fruit chunks like it was made by a kind old wizard who lives inside a Quaker Oats box. For one shining spoonful, I believed in breakfast again. It’s not bad. It’s just emotionally distant. Like a dad who shows up to the soccer game but keeps checking work emails. We’ll go again someday…
Probably when the oatmeal calls to us in the wind.

Worst Panera out there - ironic that it's in the heart of Leawood. Rudest employees that do not greet you, help you, or even look at you. Was there this morning and three employees walked by without saying a single word while we patiently waited for our order to be taken or just to be greeted. A few other customers came up behind us and they had the same experience. Called the store and a fake manager was put on the phone. Too bad I didn't get to order or I could tipped them for such great service.
