Our server, Drake, was great! Really took care of us. We tried a range of menu items. The food was mostly underwhelming, but we had a great evening and the vibes were good. I wouldn’t come back for dinner, but I might stop in for dessert sometime after a movie at the theater across the street!

I had tried their Brookside location before and couldn’t stop raving about it to my friends. So when it came time to celebrate one of my best friend’s birthdays, we made a big party reservation, and it did not disappoint! Everyone loved the atmosphere, and the food was absolutely delicious. The pizza is to die for, and their Caesar salad is equally amazing. We all left happy and full! I highly recommend this spot to any Italian food lover. Thank you for such a great experience!

We skipped our usual Italian place and tried this place instead. Pear bruschetta was very good and the best thing we had there. We were looking forward to a simple margherita pizza but the crust was so watery because of the tomatoes they put on it. We were done after 1 slice each. Also Had 2 pastas that lacked flavor and my daughter said the chicken marsala reminded her of a Michelina’s frozen microwave dinner. I had to agree. We wont be returning but now we can go back to Viona’s for the best pasta in KC.

We ate at Plate for the first time this weekend and the food was incredible. The drinks were delicious. And our service was fantastic. We had Joey and he made our evening so fun. He’s from New Jersey and loved to make jokes about Kansas that were hilarious. If you go to Plate, ask for Jersey Joey!

Hugely unimpressed. Server made a big deal about giving us happy hour menu when we were seated in dining room. The bruschetta was bland and lackluster. My halibut was overcooked. For what they are charging they should be embarrased.

I ate at your Brookside location Saturday evening 6/28. I ordered Pollo Toscana as my meal after consulting my server about how good this dish was. I was assured it was very good. I have never been served a meal that looked so horrible in all my life! The chicken was buried under some sort of clumpy brown sauce that looked like vomit! The chicken was extremely tough and the sauce was horrible.
My husband ordered a KC Strip that was as tough as a shoe and barely edible! This was the worst meal I’ve had in a long time and spent $130 for a horrible experience!
Don’t waste your money!

A lovely dining experience at Plate. We had Joey as our server. He provided a fun and personalized experience for us and significantly elevated our already delightful evening. The food was delicious. The restaurant is a comfortable atmosphere to relax. We will return for sure.

I have eaten at the Leawood restaurant and the food was good and the service was good as well.
However, I would not recommend them for large parties. I had reached out via other website and was told I would hear back in one of three business days and it took over a week to hear back from them without any explanation as to why. Unfortunate as I had looked forward to having a party there and they appeared to have some nice private space but it is difficult to plan with them.

Overall experience was ok but one in our party had to reorder upon being informed that they were out of her prefer enter. And they did not have the wine we ordered in stock. Service was slow and waiter difficult to understand. I think the restaurant was understaffed for what did not seem to be a busy night.

We visited Plate last Saturday as a party of 8. I would tell you that we liked the ambience of the restaurant but we never saw the inside. We were shuffled across the hall instead to what must be where they stick small corporate lunch and learns. It was 2 big tables. A lectern. A TV. Boring. We spent 2.5 hours in this room… captive… wondering what the real restaurant experience must have been like. Our server did her best but failed to tell us about the specials until everyone had already ordered, didn’t tell us what they were out of (the halibut) until someone tried to order it, and when told by our entire table that the tap water tasted awful (metallic… it was real bad) all she could do was shrug and acknowledge that all of her other tables said the same thing. Plates response? Charge us for bottled water. Speaking of drinks… this was a bright spot. The old fashioned was great and there was a lemon cocktail that was enjoyed. But they have 2 beers on tap at $8.50 and $10 per pour. Yikes. Food was very slow to arrive, bland, overpriced. After 2+ hours in our empty room we left. This place wants to be fancy and high end. But our experience was anything but. Go to North instead.
