Multiple times dining here, unfortunately this time was real bad. Service was slow or non-existent, wine service poor, appetizers lukewarm, salads swimming in dressing, steak was fine. We usually visit at least once a month, we are probably done now.
Our favorite restaurant in KC. Always the perfect place for special celebrations. Service and food are always top notch & tonight did not disappoint. Crab legs & steak were beyond delicious & waiter top notch!
Very nice place. Food was scarce, I would have like bigger portions for the price we paid. Service was top notch. Caleb did a great job!
Four Friends met for lunch and to catch ip on life. Emma our server was Superb. She is a keeper. The food and service was delivious. Emma treated us like family and I hope she is there on my future return visits.
Excellent food as always! Emma was our server and she went above and beyond to make our experience amazing!
The four of us had a wide variety of appetizers from oysters to caviar deviled eggs and all were quit good. Wedge salad loaded with roquefort cheese, lobster shrimp bisque and more. The sreaks were perfectly prepared, tender and loaded with flavor. We bought an exceptional bottle of 2007 Chappellet from Napa which highlighted the eal.
This was my second visit. The food was delicious, as expected. However, the waiter did not fully explain the many extra charges. For example, a wedge salad usually includes bacon. The bacon was extra. The special surf and turf included an extra charge for the cheese topping on the filet and separate charges for the surf portion - for a total charge of $93. That was far and beyond what I would have spent on any entree. The waiter should have been more forthcoming.
This was the first visit for dinner. I've been for lunch several times. My steak was ordered medium-rare. The outside of the steak was like jerky. It was only a 6oz, there wasn't much that I could eat
It was a very nice evening. We chose the 2 for $99 Tuesday dinner option. The selections were great and Matthew was a wonderful server. He gets 5 stars from us. It was a birthday dinner so I enjoyed a special treat. Thanks to all. We'll definitely come again.
Food was great. Service professional. Fred was our server. Delightful. Music in the bar was perfect.

This was our first time at Sullivan‘s last evening -quality food was outstanding, service was completely outstanding-great server! Wonderful ambience! Will definitely be coming back!
Food and service was amazing. Fred made great recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed. It got hard to have conversation in the dining room with the band started in the bar area, but overall very enjoyable.
We went to dinner with our 2 children who are very well behaved. We got an odd vibe from the waiter he didn't seem pleased we came with children. Very short with us
Our server, Caroline, was excellent, she knew what we liked to order and made recommendations that she thought we would like. We both had Filets, one of which was a special for the evening. Everything was cooked perfectly. Caroline's service and attention to detail made for a very enjoyable evening.
While visiting Kansas City, we searched for a well-reviewed steakhouse near our hotel in Overland, and Sullivan's caught our eye. We arrived early, excited to spend some time at the bar enjoying the jazz trio. The atmosphere, service, and music were fantastic, and we thought we were off to a great start. Our reservation was for 7:15 PM, and after being seated, things took a turn for the worse. We ordered the bone-in ribeye, along with some appetizers and side dishes, and made it clear to our server that we wanted the ribeye "rare," with a cool center—exactly how the restaurant promoted their aged beef. Unfortunately, the ribeye arrived medium, so we had to send it back. When it finally returned cooked to the correct temperature, we were disappointed again—this time, the steak was tough and full of gristle, making it difficult to cut. We ended up leaving a good portion on the plate. Our server offered dessert, which we accepted as we were celebrating my wife's dragon boat racing results. Overall, Sullivan's was a major disappointment. The extended wait and subpar steak ruined what should have been a special evening. Next time we're in Kansas City, Sullivan's won't be on our list, nor would we recommend it to others.
