Awesome coctail bar serving amazing drinks. There are some beers available as well. Although there are some food offerings, the food is second to the drinks.

Andy and the team were outstanding! The atmosphere was very nice but yet relaxed and inviting. They rescued us from a terrible bar experience nearby during dinner and delivered a memorable night with expertly crafted cocktails that were creative, balanced, but not pretentious. The menu offers something for everyone, and the staff know their craft inside and out. My wife and I sat at the bar and enjoyed a great evening of unique drinks and great conversations.

Great bar with great vibes and great, no, amazing cocktails. The servers and bartenders are all very friendly and professional. Drinks are delicious and unique without being gimmicky. Definitely recommend for an after dinner cocktail.

I was so disappointed in our experience Saturday night. I have been here about 10 times. The manager explained to us that they are considered a night club because they serve mostly cocktails and not food. Our server was terrible. We sat on the patio and there were 9 ladies in our group. One of us ordered an espresso martini with tequila. It was made with vodka. Several tried it and ordered what they thought was the same cocktail. The martinis were made with tequila this time and no one liked them. He admitted his mistake, but didn’t offer to replace the drinks. No one drank them and ordered other drinks and they were still charged for them. I ordered a lemon drop. He came back at one point to confirm 4 espresso martinis. I didn’t reply because that is not what I ordered. He came back and hands me an espresso martini. I didn’t order that. He said when I came over to confirm you said nothing so I assumed you wanted an espresso martini. Nope, those words never came out of my mouth. He was so put out. He was not accommodating, friendly and we all felt the service was terrible. I feel like for $17 a drink, they should be friendly at least. I think they used to provide great service. I would not go back based on the service and the vibe. They are trying to be something they are not. Super disappointed.

Weird vibe. We were asked to start a tab before ordering like it’s some college bar. Getting carded at the door in Leawood was also odd.

Drinks aren’t cheap but tasty with unique ingredients so no issues there. Prices made sense.

I doubt I’ll be back. I like to feel welcome and there are plenty of nice options in the area.

Had blackberry bourbon based drink and it was really good. Opened till late however would recommend to sit inside as there were lot of bugs/mosquitos outside. Went in August.
Very good selection of bourbon overall.(cellar, blantons, Taylor's etc..)

This bar is stunning! The bartenders and host were very kind and friendly. You can tell just by watching the bartenders work that they are incredibly skilled. The atmosphere is very classy but relaxing. I only ordered one, but every drink we saw made looked like a work of art. I ordered an aqua regia and it was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. I would absolutely go again in a heartbeat.

My wife had the steamed buns, which was pretty good. Not much going on the place was pretty dead for a Friday night. Party of six had a couple of bottles of wine martinis some decent cocktails. Not very busy, but it always took a while to get the drinks. Spoiler alert don’t get too loud or they’ll come over to your table and tell you to be quiet. Evidently they have a policy about having too much fun. Won’t be back.

Felt like I got straight up robbed. The bill was higher than what I signed for, with surprise charges like a liquor tax and a credit card fee that were never mentioned. Rude and nasty staff. Pretty sure the tip was messed with too, didn’t match what I left. . Total scam , STAY AWAY from this Place.

Terrible Experience — Hidden Fees, Rude Staff, and Shady Charges
Overcharged my tab – The final amount was more than what I signed for.
•Hidden liquor tax – Not listed anywhere on the menu or disclosed beforehand.
•Credit card surcharge – Automatically added without warning or consent.
•Tip tampering – It looked like the tip amount was altered after I signed the receipt. Extremely shady.
•Rude, dismissive staff – When I questioned the extra charges, they brushed me off like I was the problem.
•Zero transparency – No signage, no explanation, just surprise charges at the end.

There are too many honest spots out there to waste your time or money here. Shady billing, bad service, and no accountability. Never coming back.

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Verdigris Bar in Leawood, Kansas, and I can’t stop raving about it! From the moment I walked through the doors, the vibe was pure magic—sophisticated yet warm, with a stunning Art Deco-inspired interior that feels like stepping into a glamorous, modern speakeasy. The plush leather banquettes, mirrored tables, and soft blue-green tones (a nod to the bar’s namesake, the patina of oxidized copper) create an atmosphere that’s both upscale and inviting, perfect for a date night, a catch-up with friends, or even a solo evening of indulgence. The subtle scent wafting through the air (yes, they pump a signature fragrance!) adds an extra layer of allure that makes you want to linger for hours.

But what truly sets Verdigris apart is its incredible staff. The team here is nothing short of extraordinary—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The bartenders, led by the talented head bartender Kory, are true artists, crafting cocktails with precision and flair. I had the pleasure of trying the “Carrot Cake at Work,” and it was a revelation—one of the most creative and delicious drinks I’ve ever tasted, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The staff’s expertise shines through as they guide you through the menu, offering insights into the seasonally inspired cocktails and helping you find the perfect drink to suit your mood. The general manager was also a standout, mingling with guests, sharing stories about the bar’s unique spirits, and making everyone feel like a VIP.

The service is warm and welcoming without being overbearing, striking that rare balance of professionalism and genuine friendliness. You can tell the team loves what they do, and their enthusiasm is infectious. They even took the time to chat about the inspiration behind the menu, which changes every six months to keep things fresh and exciting. The food menu was a delightful surprise too—don’t sleep on the popcorn or the Monte Cristo; the chef deserves all the praise for elevating bar fare to something truly special.

The vibe at Verdigris is unmatched—lively yet intimate, with just the right mix of upscale elegance and laid-back charm. The music, often a great selection of rap and modern hits, adds a fun, unexpected twist to the sophisticated setting. Whether you’re sipping a smoky cocktail at the bar or relaxing in the cozy outdoor seating area, every moment feels like a celebration. I left feeling uplifted, inspired, and already planning my next visit. Verdigris isn’t just a bar; it’s an experience that leaves you smiling long after you’ve left. Highly recommend making a reservation and treating yourself to a night at this gem!

We hosted a private party at Verdigris in early March of this year for our daughter and her fiancé. First off, the coordinator, Aubrey, was top notch and handled all aspects of making the facility ready for our party. In addition, the chef, Mitchell, had great recommendations for food to service. All of our guests commented on the atmosphere, food, drinks and above all else the service of the attendants and bartenders. I would absolutely recommend this venue for a private party or for a date night, couples night (or afternoon). The drinks are top notch and the good is very good and the service is excellent. 5 Stars from me!
