Used to love this place. Haven’t been for about a year. Had breakfast. No flavor sausage biscuits and gravy. Toast was soggy, chicken fried steak not good. Bacon was perfect. Think I will definitely stay away Tipped 15% for having plate dropped off and that was it as far as service. 3 girls standing at register. But no waitress on the floor You have to go up and order your food. Pour your own drinks. I’m questioning why there’s even a tip. It was certainly not earned as it’s pretty much self service

The food was good. Had a pork tender sandwich and a piece of choc/Peanut Butter Pie
But I had to run to the restroom and when I came back, they had cleared my table and my food was gone. Was almost done with pie, so not the end of the world. Just surprised me. Lol

What a wonderful gem! After taking in the history of Lecompton, we stopped at this local restaurant and were so delighted that we stopped! Good food for reasonable prices. And you must have one of their homemade deserts—cinnamon rolls, pies, cupcakes! A must stop. You will not be disappointed.

We called them and they said they could accommodate 10 people on a Wednesday. The owner came out yelling at us when we put tables together. Definitely somewhere you don’t want hospitality. The rudest people I’ve ever been around that trying to sell food. Maybe we were too brown for them. Definitely don’t go here. They don’t accommodate even though they said they would then they treat us like bums. Not the family environment I would bring my kids.

Ended up ordering at the counter after sitting at a table for 10 minutes. Food was great though

Fantastic Food and pricing
It was an ok cafe. Food was good but not great. No seasoning on my chicken or Mac and cheese. I specifically drove there to eat breakfast and got there at 11am only for them to say they dont serve breakfast at 11am? I mean its still morning...before noon. And I didn't see anything on their website saying they start lunch at 11. (Editing to say it is on the website if you look deeper but not on main page). I'm surprised they dont just do all day breakfast anyway. It was my first time there and I was not told to sit or wait to be seated. I went up to the counter and looked at the menu, only for the cashier to tell me someone was behind me and if I could let them decide first while I look. Then she said there are menus on the wall I could look at. So I took a menu and sat down at a table (small café and little seatingz hard benches and chairs). Was brought my food in hard metal basket and no plate to put my food on or to cut my sandwich. Had nothing to put ketchup on. Just a basket of fries with nowhere to put sauce. Mac and cheese had zero seasoning. No one came over to check on if we liked our food but someome did come over to clear the metal baskets once finished. I would not care to drive back here but it wasn't a terrible place either. Just ok if you're already in the area.
