What a wonderful gem! After taking in the history of Lecompton, we stopped at this local restaurant and were so delighted that we stopped! Good food for reasonable prices. And you must have one of their homemade deserts—cinnamon rolls, pies, cupcakes! A must stop. You will not be disappointed.
It was an ok cafe. Food was good but not great. No seasoning on my chicken or Mac and cheese. I specifically drove there to eat breakfast and got there at 11am only for them to say they dont serve breakfast at 11am? I mean its still morning...before noon. And I didn't see anything on their website saying they start lunch at 11. (Editing to say it is on the website if you look deeper but not on main page). But I had to run to the restroom and when I came back, they had cleared my table and my food was gone. Was almost done with pie, so not the end of the world. Just surprised me. Lol
