Ordered the Skittles and Sour Patch they were great. Quick service just wish there was more seating area either inside or outside it's a bit tight when the line gets long inside.

It was a great event they had today, I went with my two little ones and they loved it, it was also my first time going there. The food was great, I had the strawberry shortcake and I 100% recommend it. Great service! It was just two people working, but the wait time was not long!! They had an inflatable house bounce house and it was just like they said "a time to remember and laugh". The ambiance was good too, it was hot outside, but that made the shave ice taste even better. Definitely coming back.

Delicious shave ice, and I definitely recommend getting the vanilla ice cream inside! It's a delicious combo and the ice is the perfect texture. They also have a great variety of toppings and flavors. There is ample seating inside and outside which is nice as well, and the workers are super kind and helpful

Just a small place slightly off the main road by Sol Bakery. Great açai bowl and a huge list of smoothies and juices and some specialty coffees! Really enjoyed it!

The best açaí bowl I've ever had. The presentation and care is unmatched, went back every day I could while in Tamarindo. The açaí / fruit place is a convenient location but is a bit hidden off the main street. Make sure to follow the sign and visit it!

Charlie's snow shack is exactly what I'm looking for when I need a snow cone. I have been to this place many times and the service is always the same. Happy people making delightful snow cones. The shaved ice is legitimately shaved. It's not little frozen balls or chunky shaved ice, just silky smooth ice with plenty of flavoring. I always get the same thing, kiddie size with lime and lemonade with marshmallow cream sauce. I'll keep coming back.

It is such a treat going to Charlie's Snow Shack! My first experience with this business was at their food truck a few years ago. Every experience is always so joyful. There are so many flavors and toppings to choose from and every one I've tasted has been great. No artificial aftertastes on any of the ones I've tried. The ice is shaved so fine and easily scooped with your spoon. He's seems like a very kind person and his service & delicious sweets are absolutely worth the visit!

You really can't tell the amazing treats that await you inside from looking at this very unassuming exterior, but go inside and you'll understand... Huge mounds of shaved ice, much like real snow, covered in tons of different fruity and delicious flavors! Toppings like whatever you could imagine add well...so yourself a favor and try the marshmallow creme...you won't be disappointed! From the fan favorite combos to whatever three flavors YOU want to try. Or a single flavor...it's your choice because they're your tastebuds! I decided to be different and got watermelon, peach and guava with the marshmallow creme on top. The hubby tried just watermelon by itself. Both were delicious. I can't wait until tomorrow (ssshhhh! Don't tell him, but I'm going back to try another flavor tomorrow!) so inexpensive and not loaded with 1000s of empty calories like any ice cream or dessert bar. It's WATER for Pete's sakes! (Of course there's flavoring added, but at its core, it's just water.) Next time you're looking for something refreshing and yummy, look no further! Bring the kids -- they'll love it too!

We discovered this place walking around after breakfast one day and fell completely in love with it! To the point we kept coming back daily. Not only are the smoothies, fresh juices and YES, their iced tea fantastic but the owner's (Vanessa) attitude makes you feel as if you've known her for years. You can taste the freshness of the fruit in every sip of juice or smoothie and a green or black cold ice tea is perfect to enjoy sitting down at the shack or walking around town. Vanessa made our little girl feel very special each time we went there. Even after we left Tamarindo, our daughter kept asking us for Vanessa's tea. Needless to say, The Snow Shack will be a permanent stop in future visits to Tamarindo. Gracias Vanessa!
