excellent menu loved our Swedish dishes. if ordering the beet side dish add a bit of salt to enhance the flavor.
This last visit was my second time here. While the food is consistently delicious (you've got to try the yellow pea soup!), the atmosphere can vary greatly. On our last visit, we were sat at the front most table, closest to the door, and we were blasted with freezing air every few minutes as people entered and exited. I understand the desire to keep people closer together for easier service. The 'front' of the house is definitely not the most comfortable experience - ask to be sat elsewhere.

I had high hopes coming here with the family while visiting Lindsborg. They were somewhat busy, but the service was slow and we were rarely checked on. The Swedish meatballs tasted microwaved, like a TV dinner. The broccoli was covered in a salt, maybe garlic salt, that was extremely overpowering. We ordered two, 6 oz steaks and had asked for them to be cooked medium - but got them both well done. On the bright side, the chicken tenders were very very good.

Not for me. Overpriced, blan food with middle of the road service and atmosphere.

Not bad not great. Definitely in the middle, portions are average and cost is a bit high for what you receive. Wait staff seemed to be in eternal training mode as we were forgotten from the outset and it never really changed. Food was decent but again it wouldn't prompt me to go back. 2 people $90+.

Been going to this restaurant for many years. The current owner has run it for about four years. They have a good mix on Swedish and American dishes. We kept it all Swedish this time. We really enjoyed the yellow pea soup.

Happened to be passing through on our way to Hutchinson and always love to try local restaurants. I was expecting good food but we were all amazed! Literally everything was delicious. Crown and Rye is 2 hours from home and we will be back! Forgot to take pictures of the food because we just started chowing down! The Lamb Chops were amazing and a must try! We took our niece, a picky eater and she loved it all too!

This is the kind of place that makes a road trip worth it! What a gem! Close to a local park with the best playground I've ever seen... such a neat little community and the food at this place is amazing. Like old world homemade goodness.

We drove a bit off the beaten path to visit Lindsborg and stop for lunch. The Crown and Rye has AMAZING food!! We had Swedish meatballs, potato sausage, beet salad, pea soup, and the appetizer of tomatoes, cheese and cucumbers with rye bread. Every single item was a party for the tastebuds. Our server, Emelia, was lovely and attentive. I’d highly recommend this place!! Hope to be back next time we’re through Kansas.

We tried to give this place a second chance and paid $50 for very small portions kinda disappointed.
I ordered some mashed potatoes and didn't even get a spoon full and got some sweet potatoe fries and got barely a hand full. My chicken fried steak was rubber could barely bite into it I'm a little angry. I paid $50 for very bad food I won't be back.
Sorry I want to help a small town business but this was my second time visiting I won't be back.
