We didn’t plan on stopping here, but on the way back from another distillery and during a weekend of winery’s and distilleries we took a chance. So glad we did..:this place is amazing!
Their whiskey, bourbon, and vodkas are amazing, but the tasting room and ambiance is even better.
I can’t wait to go back. I’m I could give them 10 stars…I would!.
We stopped here to visit after finding thw Distillery with Harvest Hosts. The owner Stan was the most gracious host and very helpful when we had some trailer issues.
Stan is a very knowledgeable Distillery and has some very fine spirits. We purchased some bottles to take and share with our friends on this trip.
Pictured is an old fashioned, one of their specialties. My wife, not a bourbon person had a couple of bloody Mary's made with their Smoked Jalepeno vodka.
I also have to say their Rye is worthy of slow sipping and very tasty.
We highly recommend stopping in, it's worth the drive off the interstate. This will always be on our places to stop list.
We travel across the country to many distilleries and this by far is a must stop. Owners are very welcoming. Stories and history of the building and distillery are so interesting. Will be so great to come back and see what changes they do
The young man that gave the tour was very knowledgeable about his families distillery! Was very open to questions and discussions! Enjoyed it very much! Will go back a by direct when I finish off the bourbon and rye.
We went to our first-ever distillery tour today. Shane was down to earth, fostered a relaxing feel for our group throughout the tour, asking us if we had questions about anything he was showing. Our tour included whiskey and bourbon tastings, and concluded with vodka tastings and the opportunity to visit the bar to purchase cocktails. We were amazed with the Watermelon Habanero Ranch Water. Our first instinct was that it would carry a lot of heat, but the sweet and the spice balanced each other for a really nice drink.
Relaxed atmosphere, small-town-feel, and hospitable owners and bartenders. We will most definitely be back!! ❤️
Smokey Valley Distillery is what small town awesome is all about. Their products are amazing. Their owners are absolutely awesome. I cannot wait for my next visit.
We enjoyed the tour and tasting. Thanks!
My wife and I drove up from Hutch to Marquette (cool little off-the-beaten-path Midwest town!) in our Corvette this morning to celebrate the last day of summer, and to visit the Kansas Motorcycle Museum and the Smoky Valley Distillery. We had an amazing experience at both venues. Owner Stan and bar-ma'am Jennifer at SVD welcomed us warmly and made us feel like long-lost family. Thank you both! Great vibe at SVD, plenty of space to chill, soak in the friendly, old-time ambience and enjoy their mouth-watering wares. Trust us, you won't want to leave!
What a friendly place to visit and enjoy some locally distilled spirits. It was like meeting long lost friends with great conversation. Some good vodka and bourbon!
Was in Hutchinson for High School reunion and we decided by we wanted to do some exploring. Did a google search for wineries, breweries, etc and found this place. Trust me, the google maps page doesn't do it justice! This place is awesome and what a find! You drive into this tiny town on the prairie, not expecting much and next thing you know you are sampling awesome vodkas, rums and bourbons at the bar with some really great people from Texas! Best old fashion I have ever had. I'm not a bourbon guy but ended up buying a $100 bottle of bourbon. This place is worth the drive from Hutch or anywhere in the vicinity!
Restaurantji Recommends
Best Moscow Mule I've ever tasted! Made with their own Lingonberry Vodka! Great Owners & Staff, wonderful ambience. Wonderful small town! Check out the Motorcycle Museum too!
This business is just what Marquette needs!
Little piece of heaven.
Great place to visit. Owners and staff very friendly, vodka and bourbon were outstanding... best we have ever had. Highly recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be back again
My family and I stopped in today after leaving Kanopolis Lake. LOVED IT!! We will be back and bringing friends!!! The owners were so laid back and the conversation was organic. The couple even brought out toys for my son and made him his own mocktail. The building is beautiful. It sounds like they host a lot of entertainers and food trucks, too. We ended up buying some vodka for home! Marquette is a great family town! Went next door to Ranch House for some bar food and then swam at the community pool! Lots to do in this small town!
