Came here probably 12 years ago when i drove long haul I still rave about how good the steak was!
The Chuckwagon was fantastic for breakfast, it draws a great crowd of locals and those traveling
I’m a vegetarian and a very picky eater, this was the first time on my vacation that I actually cleared my plate. They let me customize my order and everything was delicious and the server was very nice I’d definitely come back if I’m ever near by again
Foodwas good ,service good.
I ordered a Western omelet. I must say it was very tasty. On the other hand-The cook fried the English muffin on the grill.🤢 Who does that ! I don't want my bread to taste like fried onions.
The restroom needs cleaned a couple months back.
As others have noted, it could use an update.
That said, the ladies room has clean toilet, sink, floor, & walls. Soap/paper towels were present. The food & coffee was good.
We ordered 2 beef Philly cheese steaks. They were served on nicely toasted white bread (wasn't offered a roll or sliced bread). The sweet potato fries & onion rings were crispy. The rings had real sliced of onion.
The cashier for my takeout order was friendly & accommodating my unusual request for some tomatoes.
Parking lot desperately needs to be graded. If you have high clearance & go slow, no problem. There are a couple of deep potholes that could potentially tear off a mudflap or damage the side air foils (that ground level plastic strip on freightliners). So go very slow & pick your way through. The ground was dry; I'd think twice if it'd been raining.
Update: this is a frequent stop for me, I've never had a bad meal and the people here are always so nice.
Older post: Been some time since I'd eaten here, still good food and looking forward to eating here again.

Ate here a few weeks ago for dinner. Ordered a ribeye steak and eggs with a side of bacon (on the carnivore diet). Everything was excellent. Steak was cooked perfectly. The homemade salsa was also very good. Server was polite and professional. Recommend this hidden gem. Truck parking all around the fuel stop.

The waiter was top shelf. Held the whole place down by himself and made it look easy! Food was ok, I was just THRILLED to have a place open for a sit down breakfast. Hash browns were a little dry, and there was no tomato juice. I can give a score of 95, and not feel too generous. Will 100% eat there again.

Stopped in for lunch during a long road trip. Good diner, homemade, small town food at fair prices.

If I could give this place more stars I would. The service was spectacular, the food was amazing, the prices were reasonable, and this is small town dinning at its finest. The locals were friendly and even started up a conversation with us. I would highly recommend

Once you get past the potholes in the parking lot, that could swallow some small cars , the food here is actually great. With all of the construction on 54, I was glad I couldn't get to Liberal. All of the staff here were absolutely great...
