Cadillac Jack's Steakhouse

We've been 3 times, the first two times were great and each deserved a 4-5 star review, pricing was good, service was fast (relative to a steak dinner), and the atmosphere was good. Then the last time we went it all changed. There was 2 parties, 1 group of 8 and a group of 10 that were there prior to us arriving for our reservation of 4. We sat down promptly at 630 and our friends joined us a minute later. We picked out our drinks and waited for the waitress to return. She finally returned at 645 and we ordered our drinks and also wanted to order our food. She wanted to grab the drinks first which was understandable. Another 15 minutes went by before our drinks were brought over. Keep in mind while they were busy they were far from full. There was a total of 8 empty tables with seating for a total of 28 additional people (I had time to count). At 7 we were finally able to order our food. My colleague ordered a KC strip and the waitress informed us she would have to check as she believed they were running low (again completely understandable). After ordering we sat. And sat, and sat. 30 minutes went by with no update, finally the waitress informed us that the food was being prepared and would be out shortly. After another 15 minutes I requested where the food was at. She said it was being put on the plate and would be out in 2 minutes. We waited another 10 and she came back and told us that they were out of macaroni noodles and would need to substitute angel hair pasta (no problem to switch) but why was this not brought up when ordering and why tell us if the food was already done? Finally after a full hour we got up and walked out. I found the waitress and paid the tab for our drinks as the food was brought to the window I overheard that they were out of the KC strip and had substituted the Prime Rib (again a fine substitution but why was this not brought up long before this point). Of course the management made the excuse that they had large parties (keep in mind the party of 8 had their food by the time we sat down initially) and they were short handed. I asked how they were going to be able to run the business if those additional 8 tables were filled? Very disappointed in the service. 30 minutes just to get drinks is a bit excessive and an additional hour for steaks is quite over the top. I understand being busy but leaving your customers waiting with no updates and substitutions without permission is a bit ridiculous. I love shopping local but unfortunately I won't be back for quite some time.

Our group of nine had a great meal and a good time at Cadillac Jack’s tonight. We had a superior waitress, Destiny, who ran her little toes off, taking care of us and we appreciated her upbeat attitude. Our food was delicious. Wish I had gotten pictures of all of it, but we dove right in so quickly when all arrived that I missed most photos. My sirloin steak was large and thick and cooked perfectly. Others had prime rib, ribeyes, and more. I loved the loaded baby potatoes as a side. The hummus and the bread plate were delicious. I could’ve done without the escargot, but others enjoyed it. I would like to have been able to order another basket of just bread and delicious rolls with lots of butter. The new chef was busting his tail and could probably use another assistant, but our wait was minor. We will definitely return to Cadillac Jacks!

This is a great place to get dinner. They had a very good parmasean crusted trout. They also have a nice house salad and delicious homemade ranch dressing.

I travel all over the country for work and ALWAYS try to support local businesses. This place wasn’t highly recommended by a few locals but I gave it a try…………

If you like regular salads, this place is for you. If you REALLY enjoy steak that isn’t prepared well and tastes like leather, this is a place for you. It’s fancies pretty menus but doesn’t much better than that.

You’re better off going to Applebees at half the price for better quality.

I gave it a try to help locals, what a flop!

Asparagus was good, asked for no pink in steak and still had pink and blood. Salad was okay had carry-out so wouldn't drive back to return.

Lovely bar area with tasty food options - love their charcuterie board.
Dining area is comfortable and the servers are all friendly! I've enjoyed everything I've ordered.

Shop local, never again. Don’t waste your time going to this horrible excuse for a restaurant. They are understaffed, inattentive, and incompetent. There was no manager making the rounds checking on guests. We attempted to have dinner for our anniversary. We were seated at 6:10, didn’t get our drink order until 6:40 when we placed our entire food order. Finally got our salad and bread around 7:00, which both were good. At 7:30, the table of 4 next to us, who arrived around 6:30, got their food before us. It was at this point we decided to leave. I had to track down the waitress to ask for our bill for what we already had. She apologized and gave the excuse that our ticket must have been lost in the kitchen before saying everything is taken care of and on the house. She tried to offer us a couple of desserts to go, but we declined because we didn’t want to wait another hour or however long that would take. We tried to stay local instead of going to Wichita for a tried and true dinner. We won’t make that mistake again. If you want a $46 ribeye and continental drift slow service speed, by all means, go to Cadillac Jack's Steak House at the Old Mill Newton, KS. If not, go ANYWHERE else.

We waited an hour and a half, and we were still waiting on our food. They lost her ticket supposedly.
Not be back

Overpriced. Took way too long to receive the drinks, said our food ticket got lost so took over an hour and a half to get our food. Food was incredibly bland. Overall a bad experience and unfortunately we haven’t been back since.

Food was phenomenal, everything came out in good timing. Zoe was very attentive with service and management was over the top amazing.

1st and for most Jenn is a great leader, Lisa is the bees knees. I enjoy our work environment. As bosses do, they hold people accountable. I haven't been here long, as a cook. I plan to be here for awhile. They are both great people. Newtonian, or not. she takes pride in her restaurant. It's a team effort, everybody's roll is important..great food great service. We the kitchen and the servers appreciate you lady's!! Keep up the good work.

Some what disappointed for the first time I have eaten there .there were menu changes that we were not told about till we received our order.steak was over booked from what I ordered and had little flavor,all I could taste was the char grilling.

absolutely mouth watering, the way the food is cooked and served is absolutely immaculate. The flavors in the Mediterranean chicken will have you coming back for each bite. Our server Zoe made sure every need and want was met with great timing while being friendly and approachable. Absolutely great place in Newton.
