Genova Italian Restaurant

Driving thru Kansas and picked this place for lunch and it did not disappoint! Wonderfully friendly service. Spaghetti and meatballs and Shrimp Parmesan. The bread and dipping sauce were a burst of awesome flavors! Another table ordered the calamari and it was a huge portion and looked perfectly cooked. We ordered a pizza for the road and they gave us more bread and dipping sauce and a slice of cake (lemoncello? Or something off the menu but it’s amazing) if we were anywhere near here we would most definitely come back! You can bet if we ever find ourselves in Newton, Kansas we will.

Food was great,service outstanding a really good place to eat. It's worth the 20 minutes drive from wichita.

If you haven't been to Genova Italian Restaurant in Newton, Ks, you're seriously missing out! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing--warm, inviting, and full of charm. The owner is a total hoot--so friendly and full of personality. She truly knows how to take care of her guests and makes the whole experience feel personal and special. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family.

The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Genova Tour, which came with a piece of lasagna, chicken parmigiana, and fettuccine alfredo--all of it was fabulous. Their warm rolls with the dipping sauce were a delightful start to the meal. Everyone in our group loved their dishes, and even the sliced Italian sausage appetizer sautéed in olive oil, garlic and basil hit the spot. Every bite was bursting with flavor.

Highly recommend this place if you are anywhere near Newton. A true hidden gem!

Beautiful and clean throughout. Food is phenomenal and service is top tier. The bread is to die for. I got the Genova special and my sister got the champagne chicken pasta and we can’t decide who’s is more delicious. We will be returning in the near future I’m sure!

Amazing food and service! Will travel over an hour again just to eat the bread with dipping oil.

Seriously some of the best food I've had in Kansas. Homemade pasta, rolls, lasagna. I am floored how amazing. I can't wait to go back for the lamb chops. The owners are authentic Italians so if that tells you anything. The sauces not sugary and disgusting like Americans are used to it's real Italian. I spent 2.5 weeks in Italy in May and this is legit. So excited to have found it......

Can't rate the food because I sat there for 25 minutes and nobody ever came to my table. It's lunch time and nobody has 2 hours to take lunch break.

Lovely restaurant. Great atmosphere. Family owned. Best Chicken picatta and Lemon cello cake I’ve ever had. I will need to go back. Next time I will order Champagne chicken and the Tiramisu. They also have a variety of wines.

So thankful to discover truly good Italian food in Kansas! Food is amazing, service amazing, the owner and her brother are absolutely lovely. If you are passing anywhere near Newton, it is totally worth stopping in. We look for excuses now to make the 3 hour trip for us, just so we can eat here and bring an ice pack and freezer bag for extra deliciousness to bring back home.

Wow - what a gem! The food was scrumptious. The staff was super friendly. We were nearby and a Google search suggested this place. It would definitely be worth the drive from Wichita if we weren't nearby.
