Great place to stop while traveling. Lots of food options as well as full bar. Fairly quick and filling up with locals while we were there.

The most amazing experience that we have had in a restaurant in quite some time. My wife can only eat soft food, so the owner made sure she had a soft and flavorful, if slightly odd dinner, adding au jus to make it the best meal she has had in a week. We were just passing through and decided to go based on other reviews. They treated us like regulars. Oh, get the KC Strip! So much flavor that you don't need anything except a fork and knife. The waitress kept checking on us and making sure that everything was straight for us, but mostly my wife. Go you can't be disappointed.

I recently tried the Hot Beef Lunch Special, and it was the kind of classic comfort food that hits the spot. The beef was tender and well-seasoned, piled high over thick slices of soft white bread. It came smothered in rich brown gravy — flavorful without being overly salty — and paired with a generous helping of creamy mashed potatoes.
The portion size was impressive, especially for a lunch special, and it felt like great value for the price. Everything was hot and fresh, and the gravy tied it all together perfectly.

After driving 12 hours and finding myself in Oakley Kansas, the hotel clerk told me about The Bluffs restaurant.
It looked rough from the outside. Walking inside my wife and I realized this probably wasn’t on the Michelin list. We sat down and were impressed with the menu. Great appetizers & dinners.
The place is not fancy, it’s basic local restaurant decor. I’ve seen places like this in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and all the way to Truckee. California. They’re not trying impress anyonee.
No it doesn’t have any fine French $ 80 wines but the beer list exceeds 70 items!
One haggard but sweet waitress and 2 people in the kitchen were running the place.
As the food was brought to our table we were impressed with the quality & quantity. The rocky mountain oysters were probably the best I’ve ever had, then the pork chops and steak came and they really impressed us.
Ruth Cris’s steaks have nothing on these. They say they’re aged and hand cut and I’m sure they are. My steak was great and the smoked pork chops were really authentic smoked pork chops.
The place was filled with locals who all knew each other by and never stopped joking around with each other. It’s as homey a place as you could ever hope to find.
If you ever find yourself in Oakley Kansas, give yourself the treat of a lifetime and eat at the Bluffs restaurant. It’s a feel good place with great food.

It’s nice to find a good place to eat in a small town. My son and I had smoked pork chops with baked potato green beans and a salad. The quality was good and the meal was fresh. Our server was kind. There was only one server so it took some time, but we were not in a hurry.
Generous servings even though the server was busy with other diners, yet she's warm to customers. Watch out for some hidden fees when you utilize your card.

The food is great especially for the price. The staff was very friendly. The decor is dated but it works and it's part of its charm.

Food wasn’t very flavorful. Simple seasoning goes a long way. Lots of canned, frozen, pre-made items. Service was good. Kept my drinks filled. Atmosphere was dark and dreary. I kept waiting for Restaurant Impossible to come through the door. 1st time checking this place out & it’ll be the last time. Definitely not worth the price!
