Passing thru Kansas on our way home. Had the sampler platter. $13.98, 2 ribs, 2 slices brisket, 3 rib tips, pulled pork and a hot link. With a couple sides to share, enough for two people. Brisket moist and tender, great rib tips, pulled pork moist and tasty. Two made in house sauces. The mustard based ne is really, really good. Well worth the stop.

Delicious. Two sauces, made in house. You order the sides separately, decent selection of those as well. The sweet potato muffin was good, If I would of had room, I would order a slice of sweet potato pie.

We came upon Ogden Backyard BBQ when we were searching for places to eat in Junction City, KS. The reviews were so awesome, we had to check it out for ourselves. It truly is a 5 star eatery! Just like everyone has said in past reviews the waitress and owner were so welcoming and friendly. They treated us like old friends. The food was out of this world good! We both ordered the sampler meal. The dining area was clean and simply decorated. We will definitely be returning. Stop by. It will end up being your favorite place to keep returning to.

The waitress was awesome, very friendly and nice. We ordered the sample platter, lots of food, my wife and I could have shared one. The BBQ beans, mac and cheese and greens were great too. I wish we had room for a dessert. We had to go home with our to go box and take a nap.
Outstanding! not that hungry so I just had the Oink and moo and sweet potato pie. Just great, I'm going to come back tomorrow with the kids and try everything on the menu. Just a little bit out of the way, but definitely worth it.
Vegetarian options: If you are looking for veg, stay home.
A sweet welcome once you enter, and the woman held a genuine smile throughout taking our order & conversations, even acknowledged our shy toddler daughter & talked to her, which I appreciated & found wholesome. My daughter opened up some towards the end of the visit even, which to me seemed to speak volumes with how welcoming the energy was. The environment is so pretty, spacious & not overwhelming inside, that the outside of the small plaza building doesn't do it justice. Definitely try out the spicy sauce they offer, is has the perfect amount of "bite" to it and flavor!

Did not enjoy this place at all ordered a half rack of ribs and macaroni the food is not fresh and gets reheated in the microwave macaroni had no taste at all and the rib meat was hard to get off with more fat than meat and plastic silverware that bends when u try to use it...I eat alot of bbq and this for me is just not it the ladie did give me a portion of the money back but didnt like me saying what was wrong even told me they have 4.7 stars on google i could go look as if my personal experience was not accurate based on the other reviewers im not able to recommend eating here as the experience was not up to par with an enjoyable meal or experience....I didnt even eat 1 rib and when takin back to the counter u ate right off of the plate started ripping meat off the bone with ur bare hands telling me what i was saying was wrong the picture is exactly what the meal i took to the counter looked like sorry to say you lied in your reply and microwave leftovers but we paid fresh food prices

Well worth the detour off of I-70. Has the best mustard sauce I’ve found outside of the south!
Parking: The restaurant is easy to miss but lots of street parking up and down the block.
