Ogden’s Backyard Bar-B-Que

The food was outstanding. Jimmy knows what he is doing with his barbecue and is a great pit boss. He was fun to chat with and the sauces were sweet and spicy. The ribs were melt in your mouth. Brisket had a nice pink smoke ring and was so tender. It is a little difficult to find but well worth the effort. We plan to eat there again and bring friends next time.

Absolutely loved the food! Best BBQ I've had since moving to Kansas. Highly recommend the pulled pork, brisket, beans, corn bread, turnip greens... anything on the menu! We will be coming back for sure.

Ordered 2 chicken breasts, 1/2 lb of brisket, and 1/2 lb of pulled pork. The wife and I have been a lot of places and eaten a lot of BBQ, and this was some of the best we’ve had. Well done!

Brisket was so dry I thought it was beef Jerky. I ordered a half pound of brisket and half pound of rib tips. I got a half a plate of food. With more bone then rib in the tips. Spent 30 bucks. I expected better from a hole in the wall place. Please do better.

Wow! What a nice surprise! We had the platter and smoked chicken sandwiches. We also had the delicious southern green beans, potato salad, baked beans, Mac and cheese, sweet potato muffin, corn bread muffins, sweet potato pie and homemade sweet tea. So delicious -each and every bite!

Best smoked chicken I’ve ever had in my life! From out of town and stumbled upon here and I’m so glad we did. The lady taking care of us was working alone and still managed to knock everything out of the park! Worth the visit!!!

We were so impressed that we had to return for them two days in a row. Haha. We tried, the ribs, rib tips, smoked chicken, mac an cheese, backed beans, green and sweet potato pie! Delicious!! Everything was so amazing 👏🏽

I use their services for a family event and everything went great. The owner communicated with me throughout the planning process and was very Professional. Everybody enjoyed the bbq and we will use them again

Road tripling across the country and always in search for a good bbq spot and did we ever find one here! What an amazing spot! The food was only outshined by the service. We got a little of everything. The ribs were fall off the bone good! The brisket melted in your mouth and the pulled pork was heavenly. We inhaled the cornbread and sweet potato muffins and got our weight in the smokey baked beans! Truly a hidden gem. And did I mention how great the service was?!?!! Makes you feel like you are eating at home with your family! Thank you for the spectacular food and warm welcome!

Restaurant is simple and clean inside. Lady who served us was very nice. That's where the good part ends. Probably the worst brisket, pulled pork and sausage link I've ever had. I ordered the sampler platter. Large amount of meat for sure....but no flavor. Ribs were the only ok part of the meal. Chicken was very bland, no seasoning. Rib tips were black and burnt. Brisket was probably cooked over 3 days ago and reheated...meat was tasting very off. The worse was the pulled pork.... It tasted rancid...like old meat. The sausage link was a Red Hot's pickled link that you find in your corner store. Baked beans were obviously from a can and smoked in the smoker for a few hours. I've been to many, many...... restaurants all over the USA and all over the world.... I enjoy visiting local owned Mom and Pop spots to eat. This is on the bottom of my list and it's a shame. I think they really need to focus on providing FRESH food over anything else... even if it costs more money. I hope they find their way to make delicious food or just call it quits and cut their losses with the business. Sorry...it's bummer to make a review like this but you all need to know about my experience.
