Born and raised in Ottawa, been coming to this Dairy Queen my whole life (I’m 31). Never worked here, almost did (have friends who have) but I DoorDash in town sometimes and when I do. I always end up with Dairy Queen orders and the staff are always the friendliest at this Dairy Queen location.
However I’m writing this review because I’ve done DoorDash across the US (43 states so far) and this is the only Dairy Queen I’ve ever been to that gives out this 5 visit blizzard hole punch card.
A lot of restaurants come up with perks like this for Dashers and I love and appreciate it. Free drinks, free dollar menu items (sometimes at some places), free blizzards at Dairy Queen. These DoorDash perks (at least for me) tilt the offset balance of what I don’t make with tips.
So thank you to Dairy Queen in Ottawa for thinking of Dashers as well as customers.

It was chaotic with two trainees and a backed up lines due to a abundance of business and customers but. The manager had it completely under control and got everyone their food in a timely manner, made sure the orders were made right, and lead by example among her crewmembers. I don't think I've ever seen such a good job and hustle from any fast food restaurant like that in my life. The food was excellent and the crew was friendly and quick on service. Well done night shift of 6/2/25. Well done.

It is sad that when they make a mistake and don't want to fix it to make it right.i would have paid for the extra stuff but the girl was nasty with me. We already had to wait extra time because the ice cream was to soft to make blizzards.

It's fast food, not filet mignon, lobster, and caviar, but it's better than McD's, BK, HarD's, and most other fast food restaurants. Their ice cream, and especially their Blizzards, is better than other fast-food joints. One that comes to mind is another fast-food restaurant that has a poorly executed knockoff of the Blizzard. Just because you copy the idea of a Blizzard and call it a Blast does not make the imitation Blizzard an actual blast.
The girl who took my order was great! Super helpful, seemed like she would bend over backwards for the customer, and truly had the mindset of enjoying her job... or she was flirting. Either way, I was much happier when I left than when I got there. So yeah she got a tip.
I was the only customer inside so the atmosphere was calm and quiet. Introverts would like it. I know I enjoy not having to shout for my order to be heard (Chipotle comes to mind). 4 stars for the atmosphere since some people enjoy the loud chaos rather than calmly speaking and having a short but enjoyable one-on-one chat with the human being taking my order. I'd go back just for that. On the other hand, the drive-thru had a lot of customers so it wasn't as if they weren't getting plenty of business. My order came out fast even with a busy drive-thru though.
