Why does it always take so long??? We stopped going to Sonic a couple years ago because getting your order takes forever and our order was wrong 3 times in a row. Decided to try them again this fall and they still take forever. Regularly 15 minutes for drinks-only orders. Have visited other Sonics in Lawrence and Garnett and been astounded at how quickly our order shows up there!

My burger looked as if it had been literally thrown together sloppy and put together with no care whatsoever. My tater tots were either off the floor or from yesterday’s batch. And they gave us the wrong meal initially and had to go inside to straighten the order out. Terrible food I will never eat here again

I can order and drive there show up and my food will be out in a reasonable amount of time. Hot and ready for me to either take home or eat there. It's always great eating.

Where extremely rude made drinks wrong asked them to be remade only for them to make my kids drink extremely limey to the point she could not drink it I tried it and about puked. You guys are extremely rude and nasty people I hope karma finds you

Ordered drinks with easy ice for them to be packed with ice when they come out. Asked for them to be remade and they came bout out in less time than it took to actually make the drinks the first time with the outside of the same cups covered in the liquid of the drink ordered topped off with sprite. After pointing it out, they wanted to argue that we were wrong and to 'calm down'. Horrible customer service.

If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be yelled at by a drive-thru speaker that’s auditioning for drill sergeant school, do yourself a favor and swing by the Sonic in Ottawa. The lady taking orders made sure I never finished a sentence — apparently, my job was not to order food, but to participate in a high-stakes game of “Guess What You’ll Be Eating Tonight.”
After about 20 minutes of suspense (and deep reflection on my life choices), a carhop finally emerged. I cheerfully asked, “How’s it going?” and got the most motivating reply ever: “I’m still alive I guess.” Nothing says “five-star dining” like existential dread served at stall #7.
The food? Let’s just say the fries and tots looked like they’d been photographed on a flip phone from 2003 and tasted like they’d been waiting for me since the Bush administration. Crunchy? Yes. Fresh? Not unless you consider fossils fresh.
In conclusion: if you’re in the mood for a surreal performance art piece that combines military yelling, awkward therapy sessions, and archaeology disguised as fast food — Ottawa Sonic has you covered.
Honestly, this probably a direct reflection of a lack of leadership.
The last two times I went here I had to ask for a manager so I can finally get the things I ordered... now I've been sitting in this drive-thru so long that I've had time to go online and give you a one-star review before I ever even remotely get this food
