The food is tasty. The service seems to be very unfriendly. A few younger servers who do not have any customer oriented motivation at all, not even a smile. After our meal we went to look at the sweets on the counter. Asked the girl behind the counter if we could take a piece of cake and what the cost was. She continued to be doing something and basically ignored our request. We stood there for a few minutes waiting but she didn't bother to even ask if she could help. All the young staff seem a bit zombied. We just gave up and left.

Food was pretty good, but the servers were zombies. And it just doesn't seem like a German restaurant. No ambiance. Their beer taps were not working, and all they offered was Budweiser. Any good German restaurant has good German beer. Probably won't make the 30 mile trip back.

Walked in, and while there was an employee working at a table near us no one greeted us. Stood around for a few minutes trying to decide whether to seat ourselves or wait, finally grabbed a couple of menus and went to sit down.Another waitress came up to help us and took our drink orders - soda and tea. Cups were big, which was good as they were never refilled throughout the course of the meal. Ordered the pretzel as an appetizer, a jager schnitzel with spaetzel and green beans and another with spaetzel and house salad.Since the dressings aren’t listed I asked if they still had the tomato vinaigrette from the older incarnations of the restaurant; I was told she’d go check. Apparently they didn’t, and the salad just came out with ranch.Next up were the entrees, each with something wrong. One was some other schnitzel (had lemons?), other had green beans instead of spaetzel. Both were easily remedied upon bringing them to the waitresses attention, but she was writing our orders down (incorrectly) as we ordered so it was a bit off putting. Finally, after we had the rest of our food, the appetizer came out. Apparently the menus are incorrect, as they state “with three different mustards” - ours had some sort of cheese sauce. Asked once again and was told they always serve it with beer cheese.Overall, the only thing saving this from a one star is that the jager schnitzel was delicious. Our waitress was nice but incompetent; the one who ignored us when we walked in was downright rude. I get a mistake with food now and again, but every plate had a mistake. We were so excited to have this food back from the dead, so to speak, but looks like we’ll just be using the cookbook we bought and making it ourselves. Would NOT recommend.

A new favorite place to eat. I had lived in Germany for 5 years, so I was looking for authentic German food. I had the Ruben sandwich. It was amazing. Their pretzel is served with beer cheese, right on point. I was hoping for the pretzel that is sold in Germany, it wasn't but it still was good. I'll have to come back to try the Rouladen. It's on the supper menu. It was my absolute favorite while I was in Germany.

Nice little restaurant serving up German food with a ton of dessert options and a full bar. Place was clean service was friendly and prompt food was hot and delicious will absolutely be returning!!

Very poor attempts at "authentic" German cuisine. The sauerbraten was thick sliced, dry roast beef with a very mildly sour gravy, the green beans had more of a vinegary zing. The spaetzle was gummy and bland. The menu claims they have German style apple strudel, but they don't, they have previously frozen apple pie. In the 10 minutes after we finished and were out front, we saw 3 parties walk up and then turn around and leave after hearing the loud, expletive ridden, "Today's Hits" type pop and rap, which is uncalled for anytime in any public establishment that isn't a nightclub, much less so on a Sunday at lunch. The prior iterations of this restaurant in Paola were much better.

Service was good, food was about a 6 or 7 out of 10. We had jaeger schnitzel. It came with very few mushrooms, so keep in mind if you're a mushroom lover. Mashed potatoes were homemade and tasty, red cabbage wasn't very sweet like I'm used to, but still pretty good. Rolls were excellent. No hot German potato salad was a surprise, but their cold American style was tasty enough. Biggest disappointment was the atmosphere. Everything is all gray... feels very cold and uninviting, and didn't care for the pop music they were playing. I guess I want some traditional German sounding music or something when going to a German restaurant(totally personal preference). We might give them another try, but not rushing back. Too bad, as we were excited about them opening up. Still prefer the original Beethoven's from 6 or 7 years ago. It was the best.

Poor service, not great food (at least not commensurate with the price) and a lacking atmosphere are the reasons we won't be back. So sad, because we were huge fans of the old one.

What a delight! From the beautiful dining space and decor, to the various delicious menu items, the friendliness and professionalism of the wait staff, to the delicious food this is a place I will definitely be coming back to.

Had a great meal, all of it was good sides, main meal and desert, all fresh. Service was great as well. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Exciting to see Beethoven’s open again. The food was very good and the atmosphere is fantastic. We had the Wurstplatte and the Rouladen with Spätzle and Potato Salad, and were very pleased.
