We discovered this after visiting the Louisburg cider mill and going to the Somerset winery. We initially drove past thinking it was a museum or something. The staff at Somerset winery recommended the Schoolhouse as they had food. Went back, opened the door and my wife and I were both like "wow!, Did not expect this out here" ("out here", because it's quite rural). Cool little home decor boutique that my wife fell in love with and a very cool "speakeasy" downstairs. Staff was awesome, food was good (we had a spin dip snack) and a cocktail for me. Kudos to Tanner the bartender, he was friendly and knowledgeable. We had great time here and will definitely be returning.

A cute little place in the Paola area! I first went here after checking out the Louisburg cider mill, and now it's been a yearly addition to that trip.

Cute place, decent food (not great!)
Horrible service. Took over an hour to get all of our simple dishes. Not even crowded. They need to get this figured out. Or don’t bother.

Loved the unique atmosphere of this place. Cool gift shop upstairs and speakeasy stylish bar down stairs. Firepits and seating outside. We will be back for sure.

Overall a very nice experience, we will return and recommend. A few constructive criticisms. The charcuterie board left us underwhelmed with only 6 slices of salami and 6 cubes of cheese with the rest being filler snacks from Costco, kind of disappointing at $26. I’m an old fashion drinker and a good one in my opinion has house made simple syrup not a cube of sugar. With the nice selection of whiskeys this would really elevate the drinks. The shop is quaint and inviting with lots of history and items to see and buy. If you’ve got kids that can entertain themselves it’s perfectly fine but if you’ve got the kid who needs more variety it could use a little more beyond bags and horseshoes.
