Fun little stop off the road. My wife and I stopped in after a cold hike on Fall River and stopped in for lunch. The ladies welcomed us in as they were tending the wood fired stove which heats the place. Very nice after a cold day outside.Then they told us they’d make anything we liked so we got a handmade chicken fried steak sandwich, a fried ham and cheese, some hand cut fries, and a couple cold drinks. Also bought half an apple pie.Excellent food and a fun place to visit....
Jim & Lila’s Cafe is a great place (only place) Piedmont, Ks. The menu consisted of hamburger steak, hot roast beef and ham and beans. We chose hot roast beef. We were served in the following order. Warm peach pie, then the meal followed with the roast beef, mashed potatoes and side of ham & beans. Very satisfying and delicious home cooked meal. You get your money’s worth.
This place is not as it appears. Best tasting burger we’ve had in a long time. The fries were tasty too. The food was fresh and the owners were great. Lila is hardworking and her daughter was personable as well. You won’t regret eating here. Love the decor as well.
