My husband and I tried out Harry's after dark tonight. The staff is amazing, helpful, and very friendly. the food was amazing. I had eggs, ham, sausage, and hash browns. he had the stark raving mad breakfast sandwich. It was delicious. Hope they get enough business to continue being open at night. ❤️

Wonderful staff & great food! You've got to try the homemade bread/toast!

It's so hard for me to review a place like this. I LOOOVE old restaurants, and places with a history, and Harry's is definitely one such place. From the ancient candlestick phone with the crank dial to the beautiful green booths and wooden walls, it's my dream cafe. The service was fantastic, too. But-- the food. It wasn't very good. It wasn't awful, but it was just average. The coffee was good, but they have non-dairy creamer, and not half and half. In a vacuum, the food is at best 3 stars, but the atmosphere and service go a long way. If they ever get serious about the food here, this would be a world-class retro diner destination, worth making a detour on any road trip to visit, but as it is now, it's only a place to visit if you happen to be in Pittsburg, Kansas at breakfast time.

I love the retro vibe and classic menu! The food was fantastic. Reminds me of grandma’s kitchen cooking. Fantastic, massive cinnamon rolls and homemade bread. Can’t wait to come back

I’m rarely compelled to leave reviews, but I had to for Harry’s. Paula gave us amazing service, always checking in on us and making sure we had what we wanted. The food was great and the prices were even better! We’re traveling from South Dakota, but I’ll be sure to come back next time we are in Pittsburg.

Boyfriend isn’t very adventurous when traveling or dining out. For some reason he trusted me to lick for once. Despite directions taking us to the back door (very sketchy for my boyfriend….thought for sure he’d veto it at this point….he did ask if I’d rather get a sack of breakfast sandwiches at nearby fast food). We walked though the kitchen to get in and I saw his face was very doubtful. But then he saw the prices and the selection. He was so pleasantly surprised. When we come through next year, we will definitely stop again. He had ham and a huge short stack served with a creamer pitcher of hot syrup. He’s a big guy and couldn’t finish it all. I got to enjoy a bite of his flavorful ham. It was tender and delicious. I had the veggie omelet. I didn’t love it, but it wasn’t bad. I had the homemade toast. It was unique and good. I also got to finish off his pancakes which were a little heavy in my opinion…..but that was because they were made by scratch rather than from a mix. I’m not used to that. Service was good and brought back memories of helping out a friend with her restaurant back where I’m from.
