Roots is a cute environment to linger with friends and a coffee. We had crepes and a bagel. I asked for peanut butter and it was the tiniest cup. That small amount of peanut butter was enough for half a bagel not the whole thing. I would encourage you to upside the cup to one that gives a tablespoon which is still only a partial serving.

The crepe’s are phenomenal and so is the spiced chai tea. They have dessert crepe’s as well as pizza or spinach crepe’s. We love the openness of this coffee shop. They also always have local arts and crafts for sale as well as art classes etc. There is a large room off to the side you can rent for special occasions and events. Family friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Root Coffeehouse is one of the cozy hubs of Pittsburg. People gather here to meet with friends, family, and hold various meetings of interest.Personally I think they give so much back to this community that go beyond the excellent selection of crepes and drinks.I've hosted several events there including book club and sketchjams and they are always willing to accommodate to try to help the event become more successful!If you are visiting Pittsburg for the first time or have lived here your entire life you can't go wrong with stopping into Root for a drink or a snack.

One of the few places in this town worthy of being a regular. Crepes are delicious, whether savory or sweet. Coffee flavors are great. The laid back setting is comfortable and peaceful. Staff is pleasant! They have local artisan goods for sale too. So it's a local business helping local artists! Another great reason to go there...often!

Root has always been my favorite place in town for coffee, tea, and crepes! The vibes are always immaculate, staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a great selection. My personal faves: Andra’s Almond Tea and the Pizza Crepe. Their drip coffee is also amazing and locally sourced.
Root is a great place for me to grab a drink with a friend or talk my kid. They have lots of drink options and the staff, who is incredibly friendly, is always willing to chat about what your preferences are. This location also hosts lots of great activities like sketch nights, open mics, etc. You should check them out!

If you want a family-friendly scene that serves amazing drinks and food items, Root Coffeehouse & Creperie is the place for you! If you need to work on homework, play some old-school board games, hang out with friends, or just take a moment for yourself this is a great place for it all! The staff and owners are amazing and they make you feel like family and not just a customer. We have several chain coffee shops in the area, but Root is unique piece of heaven nestled in downtown Pittsburg. Trust me when I say, give it a try and I promise you will be back! On a side note, I highly recommend a Dingo Frappe!
