This is the real deal! Chef Manfred prepares amazing German dishes. Everything is good. Menu rotates. Might include Schnitzel, gravy, sauerkraut, Rotkohl, green beans, beets, Semmelknödel (my fave), Kāsespätzle, Kassler, or massive pretzels. Don't miss the cake! Schatzi's makes me sooo happy! I was highly disappointed in my lack of proper planning as this place offered more dishes for dinner than lunch. We arrived at lunch from Coffeyville Kansas. The waitress and cook staff were outgoing and helpful and gave us one of the dinner menu items that was not too cumbersome for the kitchen staff at that moment. This is my wife's favorite place and I don't regret the hour drive there one bit. I'll make sure to bring her back at a dinner menu time lol.
If you like finding 'off the beaten path' places, this is the place for you!! WOW!! I personally love German food and when I can find a place that serves more than a grilled brat, it makes me super happy. Schatzi's won't disappoint. Food was great.
