⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Caddy Shack – a hidden gem for burgers and fries in St. Francis, KS

Caddy Shack is a fantastic local restaurant and a real standout in St. Francis, KS. From the outside, it looks like a repurposed repair shop—which I love—but inside it’s clean, welcoming, decorated for the holidays, and has fun music playing. The simple menu makes it easy to order quickly, perfect for casual dining.

The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions. Food came out fast and was consistently well done. I had one of the best cheeseburgers and tots I’ve had in a long time—perfectly fried with a great balance of flavors. Everyone at our table felt the same about their meals.

Helpful details for out-of-towners visiting St. Francis:
• Credit cards accepted
• Google reservations are accurate (we arrived and had a table)
• Meals run about $10–$13, which is outstanding for the quality

While there’s no kids menu, this is a very family-friendly restaurant with high chairs and booster seats available. Bonus points for the paper towel rolls for napkins—surprisingly helpful.

One more highlight: burgers are a generous 1/3 lb and come with a great portion of fries. Excellent value, great food, and friendly service.

Highly recommend stopping at Caddy Shack if you’re looking for a relaxed local spot in St. Francis, KS.

food and dining seem to be an afterthought here. the menu is boring and seems to be "what can we get for the cheapest possible to pass off as food". There were a few small flat screens on a couple walls that had various sporting events playing. The service was fine, I've had better and I've had worseIn all fairness, it is December, so not exactly "in season" for a golf course restaurant. I'll go back when I'm in town and it's in season to give it a fair shot.

They said they were open on their google website, and we arrived. we went in to use the restroom and got a table, but someone said they were closed due to a golf tournament. Should have said temporary closed or hours subject to change.

We would stop here twice a month for a total of six times. Servers were adequate, not friendly. The burgers were meh but we stopped out of convenience. The last straw was when we stopped at 1PM on a Monday, the special was out, there were no burgers to be had so I ordered a wrap. The tortilla was old, the lettuce was limp, the dog ate the chicken which I could not bring myself to. I suggest these folks pivot toward customer service and fresh local beef, chicken, bread. Let me know your thoughts. I will give them another chance if things change.

Not a bad cheeseburger, but overcooked. No one asked about how we wanted the burgers cooked. There was a terrible fly problem. The flys enjoyed the burgers, French fries, and beer.

Appears to be a quaint, All American restaurant adjacent to the golf course... a great option for when passing through as there is a lack of restaurants in the area. I had the firecracker shrimp with salad and beer battered fries. All very tasty!

Came in late afternoon and had a cheeseburger with beer batter fries. Very good, and great prices.
