Fresh 7 has great coffee. We were introduced to their Brazil blend at a local bed and breakfast and had to go to the store to grab a bag of beans to take home. The woman who waited on us was friendly and knowledgeable about their other blends. We ended to buying their Mexican beans. The atmosphere is kind of urban graffiti, I guess. There was plenty of seating for the morning crowd.

If you’re from out of town, this review is for you. (I say this because, if you’re any kind of local, you already know this place, and this place already knows you.) The ladies working here seem great characters, the atmosphere is cool and comfortous, and the coffee and food selections are first rate. I had a “Hot Mess” (spiciest coffee I ever did love, but I reckon they can dial the heat down for you if you like) and an applesauce cake with all kinds of goodness worked inside of it. So good I returned on the way out of town to try their chaga mushroom coffee. Lo and behold, another slam dunk. Go here. Do it. Shut up. I love you.

We drove about 100 miles out of our way to go to Fresh Seven. Worth every mile. Friendly owner and staff. Great food. And, yes, the best chai ever - in this small town in Kansas. And we are very picky about chai! Thanks for the hospitality! Next time I will try to stay for a yoga class. And lots more chai. Places like this give me hope for our too-often divided world.
