It's not CP"s Branding Iron anymore. It's the Scranton Tavern.
My husband and I were Lake Ozark tourists when we visited for dinner. We wanted fried chicken and were met with disappointed. We ordered the 4 piece meal with mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken coating was good. The dark meat pieces were also good. But… while the breast was moist, it was rubbery. The white gravy was bland, the roll was flat and tasteless and (most importantly for a chicken dinner) THE MASHED POTATOES WERE INSTANT!For the price that I paid they should have been real mashed potatoes. I know my potatoes. Real mashed is all I make. The flavor was so so, but the texture was pure instant and had no substance. The restaurant was packed full of people and the wait staff were really polite and friendly, even though I could tell that they were busy. Food was delivered in good time also. If we are back this way we may return to try something different.Sorry, Branding Iron.
Amazing great place!! A must visit!
Excellent, worth any wait
Neighborhood watering hole. Food was good. Service was great! Prices were good. I'd go back. ..
Small menu but great tasting food!
First timer. Drove up on a cop pulling a truck over. Heads up, it's a well patrolled town. Interior is warm and inviting. Clean. Large tropical fish tank, couple pool tables, lots of seating all around and a nice long L shape bar. Burger is good but fries were soggy and limp. Staff was very nice and professional. Kitchen looked clean from the bar. Nice table lighting, intimate and cozy. This is a good local joint.
Great mushroom swiss burgers and curly fries.
Good burgers
