The food though was a wild experience: we ordered Mac n cheese, it came out from a box still with no flavor. Chips and salsa and cheese? Stale, not good salsa, and the cheese is Velveeta plasticy cheese sauce.
Tl;Dr everything was from the freezer or a can or a bag and also still not great.

Placed a to go order after being on the lake all day. They called and didn’t have the mushrooms for the burger so I switched to the burger with queso and green chiles. Went inside to get the order and several kids just stared at me before offering to help. We get to the cabin and the burger was so over cooked it was rock hard. It was black on both side and taste like a piece of charcoal. My wife and I tossed the food in the trash and made sandwiches. 10/10 would not recommend.

We've traveled to many places. We try to eat at local establishments. The food was very good and we enjoyed the coconut cream pie a lot. However, oftentimes, we are not treated as kindly as the locals. When there aren't many places to eat in a small town, it is something to consider. We recommend places to friends. Yes, we will recommend The Farmhouse Restaurant.
