So you walk in and are thrown back in time by about 50 years into a diner atmosphere. You are served warm rolls and then comes the food. I had the Chicken Fried Steak very tender and tasty.
The food is absolutely amazing. Upon walking in the restaurant seemed to be an eye sore and could use some deep cleaning. The waitress made sure we were taken care of right away. The food is just like going to your grandmas on a Sunday after attending church. You could tell everything was homemade.
We stopped here while starving on a road trip and were very satisfied. I got the lemon pepper chicken with rice, carrots, and broccoli—the portions were generous, nicely seasoned, and sat well with my gluten sensitivity (probably hard to find gluten free food in that area and I didn’t even have to try alter something). My partner had chicken fried steak with fries and corn. The place/town was nearly empty at 2 pm on a Sunday but probably busier other times. Enjoyed a little...
