Been going to this little town restaurant off and on for years. I can tell you they must have new owners since I've been there last cause the food has improved. We stopped and ate cheese burgers and fries between baseball games, and the food was great! Recommend this place if your in the area!

My sales team and I were working in town for a few days and we’re all so glad we chose to eat here. We eat at a lot of different restaurants around Kansas, and this is one of the best small town diners I have ever been to. It’s clean, the owners and staff are super friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere and decor is great and the food is so good. I had The Reuben sandwich for Lunch the first day, and it was built right on the grill. ?. We went back a second day. I had the chicken, apple pecan salad and a freshly made bierock that was sooooo good. Highly recommend If you are ever in Towanda Kansas, you eat at Thunderbird's.
