Very disappointed with our first impression of this place. We were excited to try it out and support a local business. We came in on a Friday night, 2 adults 1 child, knowing they were going to be busy, no big deal! We didn't mind waiting a bit to get a spot. We walked in, scanned for an open table and didn't see any so we stood off to the side to wait. The only acknowledgment we got from the staff the whole time was a waitress that came over and started cleaning a large table in front of us and just rudely stated "This table is reserved." We didn't get a "Welcome in", or "We'll be with you shortly", or anything the whole time. A couple walked in a few minutes after us, and there was another waitress cleaning a table and gestured for them to come sit down, completely ignoring us. We figured the service wouldn't improve going forward so we decided to try somewhere else.
Can't comment on the food as we didn't try any.

This was my first time at The Hive. Have always heard good things and I was in the area and hungry so I decided to stop in. Service was great! Our server was attentive and super friendly. Atmosphere was your typical family friendly bar and grill. Ordered a pizza and the appetizer sampler. The mushrooms and the egg rolls were tasty! The pizza was just ok. Will have to come back and try their daily specials.

Tried The Hive for the first time on Thursday Chicken Fried Steak night. Wow! What a great meal! Mashed potatoes were awesome! Even the bread that came with it had a distinct taste that was so yummy! The southwest salad was a cool change from your normal house salad! Definitely recommend making the short drive to Valley Center for a good homemade meal! Thanks Kevin for the invite! We’ll worth it!

I try a-lot of different restaurants around Wichita. I got the angry wasp wings with fries. I don’t usually like bone in but I got them this time and I’m glad I did. The wings are probably the best wings I’ve had around and you can’t beat the price. Definitely check this place out! Food and beer is excellent along with the staff.

It's a must to get there and try their wings. I was never a wing person till I had their carolina mustard and spicy buffalo wings ...now I'm hooked and have them once a week.
