Hands down my favorite small town place to eat. The food is fantastic and the people are so kind. I had the sloppy mo and Mac n cheese. Holy crap was it good! I wish I worked closer so I could come every day on my lunch!

I had a delicious lunch at E & J’s Eatery today. I had barbecue beef over macaroni and cheese. Plenty of meat cooked perfectly with a perfect sauce and the macaroni and cheese was cheesy and delicious. There was a lot, I’ll get two meals out of this. I also got a cinnamon roll topped with apples and walnuts and chocolate chips. 0MG gourmet! Definitely worth the trip to Valley Center, Kansas. You’re going to find some thing you’ll crave! Can’t wait to go back.
This place is so good! They know how to smoke their meat - and their servings are generous. It is family-run and they care. Give them a try.

If you complete the scavenger hunt, you get a sweet treat as the reward for completing the scavenger hunt correctly. Very cute place! Service was great, super friendly! Pulled pork nachos is my absolute favorite, although I should try some of the other items but I really like the nachos and the serving size is enough for 2-3 people. Everyone needs to go and try out the pulled pork nachos (I get the pulled pork without the bbq sauce).

We appreciate having an option in Valley Center where we can get a gluten free lunch. We haven't even tried their GF waffles because my son fell in love with their loaded nachos the first time he tasted them, and never tried anything else.
I've had their loaded baked potato and it's delicious. If you want it GF you need to say so, so they don't put crispy onions on it. I thought they overdid the cheese sauce on mine, but that's my personal taste.
We would go more often if it didn't cost so much, but I understand it's a small restaurant with probably a lot of overhead. They've been very sympathetic with my efforts to spend less (I'll split a giant plate of nachos with my son) and occasionally even given me more drinks than I ordered so we didn't have to share.
Dietary restrictions: My son has celiac and their GF options are safe for him.
Kid-friendliness: They greet me and the children and make small talk, make us feel welcome. They're fine with us coming on bikes and leaving them parked by the door.

I had the Mac and cheese with the pulled pork on top and it was heavenly!!! Best I’ve ever had!!
When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and friendly faces. The décor makes you feel like you are eating with family. The food is phenomenal. I would recommend everything on the menu, it is all amazing.

When I stopped in, they were super busy. Ii took quite a while to order, but it was understandable considering how busy they were. The owner and her son run the place and are both very nice and were apologetic it took so long, but I feel everyone there understood. When I did get my food, it was hot and super good! I ordered an extra sandwich for dinner and a dessert as well. I had to reheat the sandwich after it had been in the refrigerator for several hours and I have to say it was delicious and as good as if it was fresh. I forget what exactly the dessert was called but it was oreo/whip cream topped cinnamon roll I believe and it was the most delicious thing I've eaten in some time and it had set on my counter for hours! The roll was super soft like a cloud and the flavors just exploded in my mouth! Unfortunately, due to the heavy business they were having they were out of some of their usual menu items, but this just gives me one more reason to visit again. I highly recommend this place ?
