Good down home little restaurant with that down home country charm ! If you love comfort food this is it ! Like stepping back in the 70s.Dietary restrictions: They do have a nice well stocked salad bar . I recommend everything.Kid-friendliness: Everyone welcome ! Not a dressy type of place.

We drive an hour each way to get to this gem near Pomona Lake in Kansas. We come for the broasted chicken. There are so many good sounding items on their menu, but we always get the broasted chicken. The meal is very inexpensive and includes a trip to the salad bar, roll, vegetable and potatoes. I wish it were closer to home so I could explore the menu and try different things. The restaurant is always full of friendly locals and the employees are all great.

Tonight, some of my family and I ate dinner there! I had chicken fried steak, green beans, scalloped potatoes and 2 or 3 rolls, plus I drank Pepsi and/or Dr. Pepper. Finished my meal with a piece of pie. It was all really good!!! The servers are very nice and friendly, too!! I think the name of one of them is Jessica, but I really can't remember for sure! She was around a grade or two above me, through the years, at the same school district, Marais des Cygnes Valley (MdCV)! She's really cool!! So, I highly recommend this place!! God bless these charming and lovely people!!!

Drove for the Thanksgiving Buffet. The stuffing was box or over salted, small hot buffet with meats soaking in water. Salad was alot bigger but only pudding for dessert. Had to pay extra for a slice of pie and the pie frigs was filthy. Our waitress did a good job for how busy it was. I think the Thanksgiving lunch buffet was over 15. I didn't ask for much more for pie.

We were passing through town and had a great meal here. The pies were good! The only negative is a few gnats I saw at the salad bar.Vegetarian options: Good selection at the salad bar.Parking: Plenty of space for trailers, even semi trucks.

Nice little out of the way place that is well worth the drive. Prices are better than anything you'll find in large cities, portion sizes are huge, and the food is always ready quickly. The staff keeps track of you very well. How is the food, good portion sizes and full of flavor. The fried chicken is juicy, biscuits and gravy can remind you of what mom used to make. Pancakes are fluffy. Hashbrowns are crispy. Basically whatever you want you'll get it here and it'll be good.
Normally the service is good. Can't say that this time.
