Albero was closed down for an indefinite time when we tried to go last night. A note was on the door. I had called 4 times to make reservations & there was no answering machine & no website update to alert us that they've closed down and moved to their new location on Greenwich Road.

This is for Bistro Albero on Greenwich Road in Wichita. Six of us dined there on 8/29. The food and the service were positively spectacular. The starters garlic bread, brushetta, and Italian nachos were delicious. The Tuscan bean soup was piping hot and flavorful. For me the star of the show was the angel hair pasta Pesto Rosso. The pasta came with a sun-dried tomato pesto that was truly unique. There were no left-overs. The wait staff appeared to be made up of foreign exchange students, who truly knew how to wait tables. The glasses were always filled, and used dishes disappeared in an instant. The owner went out of his way to make sure that everything was as we wanted it. I will be back as will the other five.

Dietary restrictions: There are options for celiacs here!!! Unfortunately it's an upcharge of $4 for anything made gf but it's worth it for those of us who can't eat Italian food usually.

Sandwiches were very good, but there was so much dressing/oil on them that the other wise, excellent sandwich became so soaked that the bread was uneatable.
