My partner went here to have a nice birthday cake made for me. He asked for flowers of different colors and bees on a vintage style cake, and it didn’t meet either of our expectations. The only flowers were white and a light yellow/beige color- and there was no piping along the bottom. Considering he mentioned wanting pastel colors and the leaves and bees ended up being bold, we were definitely disappointed instructions weren’t followed. Was it still cute? Yes, just very plain looking and definitely doesn’t look like a vintage cake.

I love this place for cakes! They took a last-minute order from me for my daughter's birthday. The pricing was way lower than I had expected from me ordering a last-minute cake a couple days prior to our event. It's perfect, they literally did the best job on the colors the icing the cake inside was delicious. I love how easy it is to just pay at the time I ordered so that the day of my event I don't even have to do that extra step. They made my week so much easier and I really love this place.

They made my beautiful engagement cake! They made it just how I imagined and I am so happy with it!! They also made a delicious batch of cupcakes but I couldn’t get a picture in time since they were eaten so quickly. The whole process of going to the cake shop, placing the order, and picking up the order was very nice and smooth. I didn’t have any troubles at all, plus it all tasted amazing!

My honest review: I was not impressed with the outside of the cake. The border was plain & flat (& no border on bottom), and the path of gumballs "memories" was sloppy and choppy. It just didn't live up to my vision. 🤷🏼♀️ Now, the inside of the cake, oh my goodness! Yes, it was correct! 😊 The cake was moist, layers (3 cake & 2 filling (3 components each filling layer)and flavors all obvious and there. I want to give you all a big thank you and thank you for listening. The B-day girl was VERY happy and that is what matters. 🤷🏼♀️💁🏼♀️😊 We will be using your shop again, & will refer people to yall! I absolutely love Artistic cakes. Every time I order a cake it’s always so moist and delicious. Recently I had to order a cake last minute. Kenzie was so very helpful and sweet. Accidentally, the flavor of my cake was incorrect. When I called and told Kenzie not only did I receive a store credit but she was very apologetic and wanted to make sure I was satisfied. Robbin and her team nailed a custom cake for my parents 50th anniversary! With a horrible picture from a Facebook posts, they did an amazing job in recreating the look of the cake! Couldn’t recommend them enough!

We chose Artistic Cakes to make our wedding cake, cupcakes, and a groom's pie. They were delicious. Our guests DEMOLISHED the strawberry layer.When we had our bridal consultation, we met with the owner, Robbin. She was nice, friendly, open to our ideas, and upfront about the costs and limitations. I presented an inspiration photo from Pinterest. It clearly used fondant, and I HATE fondant. I understood the cake wouldn't look exactly like the photo and I was okay with that. The contract was priced, added up, and written in pencil.The first payment we tried to make after the deposit was when our experience started to change. On a Saturday, my mom and I went to the shop to make a payment, but we were told we couldn't because only the owner and the head decorator could accept payments on wedding cake orders, but neither of them were there that day, so the soonest we could pay was the following Tuesday.The following Tuesday, I returned to the shop. The head decorator, Mackenzie, was there to take the payment. However, before taking the payment, she went over the completed contract and asked me questions that I had already answered with Robbin, including the fondant issue. She looked at the price, recalculated the amounts, and said the original amount was incorrect. According to her calculations, the amount was approximately $100 more than what Robbin had quoted me. I was irritated, but stated I would call the next day and discuss the price with Robbin. Then, Mackenzie took my mom's check and said she could not accept it because my mom was not present and she needed her driver's license. I explained my mom lived about an hour away, and she is unable to come to the shop during the week because she works. I was told I would need to return the next day so Robbin could accept the check.Wednesday, I went back to the shop. Robbin was there, and she went over the contract and the price was brought back to what we had originally agreed upon. She said she and Mackenzie "do things a little differently," and apologized for the inconvenience. She accepted my mom's check without issue.To avoid the check issue, all the additional payments were paid by cash or debit card. On one of these occasions, the employee who said she wasn't authorized to accept a wedding cake payment processed my payment.A few weeks before the wedding, I made our last payment and gave the bakery our cake topper, and a few small flowers for decoration. I told the employee I knew the flowers did not match the photo, but I was trusting them to use their artistic abilities to make it look nice.A few days later, I received a 3-minute voicemail from Mackenzie asking the same questions about the flowers. She also said she "wouldn't charge me to place the topper" since it was a two-pronged topper. When we spoke on the phone, she was short and impatient with me.The cake tasted amazing, the delivery was flawless, but the process was unnecessarily complicated by Mackenzie. I don't think the owner and head decorator should have "different ways of doing things" when there should be a standard process.

I’ve been a customer of this establishment for 2-3 years. Today’s visit was THE WORST customer service I’ve had ever here. FROM INE OFNTHE OWNERS EVEN!!! They gave me a cake in the last round package. I’m alone and drive from the far east side, all the way across town, to get cakes from here. I asked for a box so I could set it in tye seat flat. First, she lied to me and said they don’t have any boxes… as I’m looking at STACKS of boxes. Then they offered to put it in a bag!! The worker then says they can’t do that cause the lid will pop off. After 5 minutes of back and forth one of the employees says she’ll go put it in a box. She scuffed audibly loud enough for me to hear it well, and had a serious attitude about it!!! Over a box!! I told them I’d even pay for the box of it was an issue. They literally care NOTHING about customer retention or satisfaction. After spending definitely over a thousand dollars on cakes there, I am not coming back, and will tell everyone I know who needs a cake that they care ZERO about their customers. Sad.
