Food was great but not Cajun enough for me. Would recommend. Would also be nice if they included sausage in all the servings of crawfish and shrimp. Crawfish were a good size

The other day was my first visit to Blue Hook. I wasn't expecting much because the reviews I read awhile back when they first opened were far from stellar. But let me just say I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a basic seafood boil that consisted of shrimp and sausage along with a boiled egg and a potato. From what's on my plate, it doesn't look like much but in reality it was really filling. They offer a number of sauces which I went with a Cajun type one. It was pretty basic and mild. But that doesn't mean it lacked flavor. The shrimp you had to peel and the sausage was actually pretty decent. Anyways, all in all, I really enjoyed what I received and I wouldn't mind coming back someday and trying something else.

The seafood boils have went downhill. The oil tastes old, they changed the type of sausage they use and the new kind is nasty. Service isn’t that good either. Bluehook used to be one of my favorite places to eat but not anymore. Definitely need to change some things around.

We had never been here but thought we would try since my son loves seafood boils. I am reallyglad we stopped by. The food was excellent! Service was great too! We live 3.5 hrs away definitely worth a visit!
