Tight seating, but a really cool looking theater. Might be a little more leg room for a different kind of show but we had a blast (sold out comedy show). Back was a little sore the next day but totally worth it. Could have used a few extra bartenders.

A gorgeous small venue that deserves all of the love, appreciation, and patronage that it gets! Also, seeing Pauly Shore in person was absolutely a transcendent experience for me ?

Had the best time with my husband and our friends at Pauly Shore. It was great being at The Crown after such a long time. Excited for more events and to watch as they grow.

I really wanted to see Pauly Shore. I have a gift certificate for Crown Uptown but couldn't use it to order tickets online. Tried to go to the box office and doors were locked. Tried to call for 2 days with no answer. Left a message and no one ever called me back. This is a very nice historical venue that I have enjoyed seeing shows at in the past. Do wish they would at least answer their phone.

Pauly Shore in town? Epic! His show was hilarious, seriously fun and totally unique! But let's talk about the seating situation. I've been on more comfortable airplane rides. The seats were literally touching each other & like, what, 12 inches across? If flying economy is bad, imagine squeezing into seats a third smaller with no armrests to save you.So there we were, sandwiched between a skyscraper of a dude and a plus-sized powerhouse. We were practically spilling out of our seats! I had to fold myself up like a contortionist to fit. And don't get me started on trying to exit the front row. No gap to get out.C'mon, guys, let's upgrade those seats or at least space them out. My back was (still is) killing me & honestly I couldn't stop thinking about when it was going to be over because it was so hard to sit like that. Keep the laughs coming, but maybe give us a little breathing room next time?

Do not go by the seating chart. We purchased 4 seats on Crown Uptowns opening night for Pauly Shore that according to the seating chart were side by side and when we got there there we found out that 2 seats were on one side of the aisle and 2 were on the other side of the aisle which was slightly disappointing, but even worse was that the chairs were so crammed in that you couldn't sit straight in your chair because your shoulders would have over lap the person on each side of you, and the chairs were horribly uncomfortable. Pauly Shore was great, but it's not likely we will attend another event there.

My wife and I had a great time watching Christmas Vacation at the Crown. I definitely plan on going back!

New Years Eve party at $50/person. Prince tribute band. Could not understand any of the vocals due to horrible acoustics. The band used their own "crummy over-driven "speakers on stage even though the Crown has a large professional hanging speaker array on truss suspended in front of the stage. The sound was muddy with a ton of echo. For $100 per couple it was a joke with them offering "lite bites" which amounted to nothing more than cherry tomatoes on skewers with mozzarella cubes, small cubes of cheese, bbq meatballs and pork slices, and tiny cheese cake cups. Here is what was irritating. They had the lite bites set up against a short wall, which meant a very long line to get to this meager setup. They should have had a table setup that allowed folks to form two shorter lines on either side of the table arrangement. They had plenty of room to do this where they had it set up at the back of the theater. Another irritant was their $7 charge for a bottle of beer. The show was mediocre at best and ended up being pretty raunchy (I guess not the Uptown's fault but they could have chosen a much better artist for the night). Even any one of four well known local classic rock cover bands would have provided a much better entertainment value and experience. I won't be back for anymore events like this. Waste of money.

Great place but terrible band sound. Overpriced alcohol

Very nice venue.Food staff was a little chaotic/overwhelmed at the beginning of the show but they all got it together and delivered food to the tables to add convenience. Turned out to be a fantastic example of ordered chaos.Seating was very nice and spaced out so your group felt like it's own little island.Drink prices are a bit steep but that's to be expected at a venue like this so that they can maintain overhead.

Always a good time! The view of the stage is great from anywhere and the staff is always so friendly and easy to work with.

The venue itself is great, the online ticketing service is terrible. Good luck!

The Wichita Children's Theatre put on an incredible performance. If you have not been to see a performance from their "Once Upon A Time" series, go!
