It's been years since we have stopped in here to eat. Probably 6 or 7 years ago. Back then we didn't have a positive experience, well the place hasn't changed much. Slow service, food was just mediocre. We tried, we really tried to give it another chance but it just can't compete with so many other good places to eat in doo dah

I usually get the biscuits and gravy, but I decided to try an omelet! I got the farmers omelet with ham, onions, green peppers, hash browns and cheddar cheese. Surprise to me, but the hash browns were on the inside. Great omelet, but for me a touch dry, gravy on top of it would have been a winner!!!!

The food was ok but really overpriced for what we got; also we waited for 40 minutes and the food still wasn’t delivered yet so we ended up just getting it to go - it didn’t even seem very busy, just seemed like a slow environment which is fine I suppose unless you’re in a hurry or you have a toddler. Doubt we will go back.

My friends and I keep this place on our rotation of favorite breakfast restaurants on Saturday mornings. The service is always on the spot. Takes great care of us and the breakfasts good enough to make sure I tip the cooks as well as the waitresses! Douglas sampler.. fills ya up and steak and eggs.. Groovy! There is plenty of good hot coffee and good times to be had. I'll return as soon as I can. You should too!

Always love my experience at Delano's Diner whether it's picking up an Uber eats order for my neighbor or enjoying a night off my cooking at home for an equally enjoyable meal, and that is hard to do since I am a pretty fabulous cook myself and often disappointed when I do eat out.
The service is always excellent and welcoming. I love to support businesses that have been part of the community for a long time, especially when they are in the least populous parts of the neighborhood. We got to support them to keep them around!

We were just in Wichita for a few hours, and Delano’s wasn’t our first choice for a late lunch. I specifically searched Google Maps for a highly rated “diner” in the Old Town district, closer to the Cathedral. But all of those diners closed by 2:00 or 3:00, so we ventured over the river to Delano’s and ended up so glad we did.
We don’t eat meat on Fridays, and we’re also avoiding carbs… so we had omelettes, and they let us substitute salads for the usual sides. The food was great, and the service was perfect. Everything was bright and clean. Highly recommended!
