I must have a different opinion on medium cook. I sent my burger back and got this after waiting. Waitress assured me it was medium - and next time I need to order medium well. Guess I learn new things every day.

My husband & I stopped in for date night while working out of town. It was very busy and there was no seating, but we were still able to get a table in less than 5 minutes. The service was great and my husband really enjoyed the Octoberfest beer selections. The burgers were so good! I got the bacon mushroom swiss and my husband got a bacon burger. They were cooked to perfection! The fries were very good as well. The atmosphere was really cool and relaxed. I highly recommend Dempsey’s and will visit again.

Was super excited to try out Dempsy‘s on Sunday and ordered a house burger with no cheese due to an allergy. They had put the cheese on the burger while it was cooking, but tried to hide it by trying taking the cheese off and giving me the same burger with cheese still on it. The server took the burger and said she’d have a new one made and i let her know about my allergy. Thought all was fine when I didn’t see any cheddar on top. Ate half of it and went home with the rest. Couldn’t figure out why i was feeling sick… turns out they just hid parmesan underneath the patties and i didn’t realize until the next day when i looked at it. Felt incredibly intentional especially because the house burger doesn’t even come with parmesan. Will literally never be returning.

Dempsey's is the BEST. I couldn't dote on this place more. Food?? EXCEPTIONAL EVERY TIME. Staff is very nice and upbeat and the atmosphere is top notch!

I’m new to the area and was looking for a good burger. I saw this place had decent reviews and the photos of the food looked really good. Not to mention they have a pretty great drink selection. I came in with the expectation that the food would be OK but had to try for myself. My expectations were greatly exceeded. The burger selection ranged from a regular to craft burgers with ingredients sourced locally. All these 4 star reviews should be 5 stars. The staff is helpful and will accommodate you well even if there is an honest mistake. Their service recovery is top tier. Would highly recommend for everyone to go.

We have been going to Dempsey‘s pretty much once a week for more than 10 years. The service has always been spectacular (Reggie is a legend!), but the food … is usually great, but sometimes there are weeks where the quality tanks. My mother always asks for a well done burger (please forgive her) and it came out medium rare tonight, even though our server has her requests memorized perfectly and I’m certain he put her order in correctly. The fries were at their best a number of years ago. Since then the quality has gone up and down. Tonight they were pretty much inedible - they looked under cooked, but were as hard and dry as four day old fries reheated in an air fryer set at 150. Ugh. We will continue our decade long tradition with hope that there will be a renewed focus on the food quality!

Overall, it's a decent place. The quality of the food is somewhat inconsistent. For example, our food did not come out hot or even warm this time; fries felt cooler than room temp. Usually, it all comes out warm/hot.
The beer selection is geared more towards people who like IPAs or Stouts.

We went on a weekend night, and it was half full. It took 40mins to get our 2 burgers and truffle fries. The burgers were good and juicy, especially the wagyu burger. However, the truffle fries were very overcooked, hard, and chewy. We couldn’t even finish half of it. Also, the server seemed busy and not really attentive as she never checked on us while we were eating and gave us the bill in the middle of the meal. It felt like she just wanted us to finish eating fast and leave. The atmosphere was good and loud, which is expected for a pub.
