We were there for about an hour and weren't informed of why the wait was taking so long. When we first arrived, we got 4 out of the 5 drinks we ordered, and never received the fifth one. They brought us coloring pages for the kids but no kids menus, and told us just order whatever for them. The server took the order and never returned. Only when we got up to leave, did they tell us that the printer ran out of paper and our order didn't get placed. They offered us the food for free at that point but we were ready to leave. And on our way out, you could hear the kitchen staff bad talking us.

this was the first time i ate all my food, everything was cooked to perfection. the hostess and waitress was the same girl and she was nice.

Ordered a sirloin steak. It was great. Better than the sirloin we had ordered at a "steakhouse"a couple weeks prior. Denny's get the win this time. Thanks to the staff and the cook Ernesto. He did great.

However, with this visit although I Did take that step ( I spoke to a manager by the name of Brittany 2 days later ) I found that the interaction with management was just as disappointing. My over all take on this particular Denny's is that the staff does not care enough about the customer experience and I believe that the cook was either inexperienced or just plain lackadaisical! Now to the The experience: we came in around 4:00 in the afternoon there was no one else in the entire restaurant about 10 minutes later after our order had been taken another family of three came in. It took about 20 minutes for our food to arrive a rather long period Considering we were the only ones with an order taken in the restaurant. When our food arrived my daughter's vegetarian omelette which she specifically asked to not have mushrooms on did actually have mushrooms on it. She brought this to the attention of Elizabeth our server who then took the plate back stating that it was her fault because she didn't ring the order up correctly. My daughter also asked for salsa with her Omelette, Nope didn't get it! I had ordered the wild West Omlet but requested to have Cheddar cheese instead of American cheese. Guess what, It came with American cheese! Disappointing! The hash browns were undercooked on both plates. When I requested that my hashbrowns be taken back and cooked a little bit longer she ( Elizabeth) Took the plate and eventually brought it back with new hash Browns stating that he decided to make them over. They were wafer thin! It was as though he pressed them down as hard as he could. It was like paper thin hash Browns. Again another disappointment! I had also asked her if she could substitute the bread for a biscuit and I would pay extra for the gravy. She said it would not be a problem and that I would not need to pay for it. Guess what, I paid almost $3 for a full side of biscuits and gravy. At this point both of us just wanted to leave but Elizabeth was no where to be found. Out of curiosity after about 5 minutes I decided to set a timer to see how long it would take for her to eventually come back to check on us so we can ask for our check. Timer came to about 12 minutes which between that and the time I had already waited came to about 17 minutes. When she did finally come back around I told her that we needed our check and had to go. What was even more shocking is that when we got to the counter and paid the shift manager asked us if we had a good experience at which point I told her no we did not have a good experience. Her reply? I'm sorry to hear that. She never once asked us what made our Experience negative! She didn't even care! So I called back later that afternoon and got the name of the manager who happened to be Britney and that she would be in the next day. I actually forgot to call the next day and so by the 3rd day I remembered to call. Britney said that she was sorry to hear that my experience was bad and asked me to come in and give them another try. She didn't offer to comp us for the unusually bad experience but then again I did not ask her to either. I just expected more than just another "I am sorry" I've had good experiences at the Denny's on West Kellogg and I will probably go back to that one next time I'm in the mood for a Dennys Meal. However taking in consideration be unusually bad experience that I had at the Denny's on East Kellogg I seriously doubt I will ever go back into that particular location again. If management sees this review I would strongly suggest that they give great attention to the health of this restaurant. I understand what it is like working with employees. Great food and service. Specials were filling and reasonably priced. Go to place for morning breakfast or just about anytime you are hungry.

Denny's is a reliable place for home-style food. This location was no exception. We were practically the only diners in the restaurant at what seemed like prime dinner time. Service was indifferent, but the food came quickly and tasted good.

New Years Day - appeared to be missing staff today. Waited about 20 minutes for a table and then an hour for food. Felt bad for staff there as they worked their butts off, but still don’t think we will be back anytime soon.
