Very neat spot for date night. Robust drink menu with a wide selection to imbibe. Make sure you make reservations or you won't get through!
Great experience for my fiancé and I. We felt like we were walking into a vip underground club. Would recommend.
Silly hole in the basement of a hotel with overpriced small portions drinks. That took way to long to get.
The servers are very attentive to your needs constantly refilling your water and checking back with you about your food and drinks. Our server this night was Bree who was highly knowledgeable about all of the questions about drinks that we had to ask her. Also, the hostess ( Leslie) at the entry door was dressed in a speakeasy style and was very pleasant and accommodating when seating us. She even let us take a picture with her before we left
Hidden beneath the Ambassador Hotel, Dockum is more than just a bar—it’s an experience. The moment you descend into the dimly lit apothecary-styled lounge, you feel transported to another time. Brick walls, candlelight, and a sense of mystery create an atmosphere that’s equal parts elegant and intimate.
The cocktails are crafted with precision—layered, aromatic, and often presented with a touch of theater. Every sip feels intentional, whether it’s a smoky bourbon blend or a refreshing gin infusion. The menu reads like a prescription list, nodding to the prohibition-era pharmacy theme, which makes the whole experience even more immersive.
What truly elevates Dockum, however, is the ambiance. It’s the kind of place where conversations linger, where the music hums softly in the background, and where the world outside seems to disappear. Perfect for a date night or a refined evening with friends, Dockum delivers both sophistication and soul.

We were looking for a quiet bar for a business/pleasure chat over drinks. This was our first and certainly not last visit! The decor and atmosphere are delightful. We sat in the "Vault" a quiet, cozy lounge just off the main bar area with leather couches and comfy chairs. The cocktail and spirits selection was extensive, upscale and fun. The staff is very good...friendly and professional. My only (very slight) criticism is that it was a bit hard to find. It would have been easier if we had known it was in the Ambassador Hotel. I highly recommend if you are looking for a nice, relaxing "adult" bar with no blaring TV's !
Solid menu and great ambience, but terrible — I mean terrible — service. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Long wait to order, server didn’t return to our table to see if we wanted a second round. Could barely flag someone down to get our check. Won’t be back.

I was thrilled to visit Dockum Speakeasy—partly because I love a good cocktail, and partly because I enjoy pretending I’m in a Prohibition-era noir film where everyone is beautiful, emotionally unavailable, and probably hiding a felony. Way pre–kiss cams, if you know what I mean.
The entrance was promising: down a basement, across a random room, and knock on an unmarked door. A man greeted us with the warmth of a tax audit. He asked, “Are you cops?”—which I assume was either a legal formality or a joke at the expense of what must have looked like obvious speakeasy virgins.
Inside, the vibe was everything you'd hope for: moody lighting, a bit of modern music, and the subtle sense that someone at one of the tables was enjoying a salacious affair. So far, so good.
Then came the drinks.
For the price, I expected to be transported—maybe not spiritually, but at least to a place where the alcohol wasn’t afraid to speak up. Instead, my cocktail tasted like fruit punch that briefly considered a life of crime but chickened out. My entourage had similarly disappointing experiences. We expected speakeasy magic and got Sunday brunch mocktails.
Appetizers? Not bad. The oysters were decent, though served on wilted greens that looked like they’d given up around 4 p.m. and never recovered.
We ended the night on a good note—mostly because we left. I’d come back for the ambiance, but if you want a drink that slaps, this place barely whispers.
Great environment, great drinks, great experience. We celebrated our anniversary and without expecting it our waitress brought out some shots for us and treated us really well. Will definitely go back.
Very cool place. Drink menu is ok, but could be better, on the allocated side. food menu wasn't that great for the price and doesn't seem to match the quality of the environment. This place could really be awesome, and for the size should be packed on a Saturday night. This would be the second time I have been here and will most likely be back many more. For the price I feel like the high-end spirit selection could improve, and the food options could improve. But overall, a very cool place.

Bartender was amazing, atmosphere was pretty good. The menu I felt was underwhelming but the bartender let us know he could make anything we wanted. We ordered a regular old fashioned… we had 3 in total and when the bill came we were blown away that we were charged for DBL old fashions (they were good, but I felt they were barely standard pours much less doubles) and they were $40+ each! Insane prices even for a speciality bar… no one ever asked if we wanted doubles, nor did the drink represent what I would expect a double to be.

Dockum is a hidden gem! It is my favorite bar (cocktail bar with some bar food and Siena restaurant menu available). We have made it a family tradition, to go there at Christmas.

We sat up at the bar. Dylan was amazing. He did an excellent job of learning about our preferred drinks and creating drinks to fit.
Charged $35 for each Old Fashioned. Never apprised of the cost before drink offered. Obnoxious...
