We were in town for an event and stayed at a hotel nearby. We ended eating breakfast here twice and really enjoyed it. It’s family owned and the eggs and hash browns were cooked perfectly. The staff is friendly. I’d highly recommend if you’re ever in the area.

The food was very good as was the service. I had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was cooked so good! It is a good breakfast spot that will leave you happy and full. Staff was attentive and nice.

Staff was friendly and the vibe was fun. However, their menu and pricing could use some work. The kids meal was $7, but doesn’t include a drink, so we ended up spending $16 on juice for 4 people. I asked for a decaf coffee, but was told they don’t have decaf but could give me half coffee/half water (which I told them wasn’t actually decaf). Then when I asked for the gluten free toast that they had listed on their menu, I was told they don’t actually have any (they didn’t run out, they just didn’t bother to actually stock the item). Needless to say, I was more bummed than pleased because I didn’t feel taken care of as a customer. Hoping they can work out these kinks because it could be a really fun spot!

Stopped here on a busy Saturday morning and had to wait for a few minutes. Got the skillet egg and sausage with spinach and pepper jack cheese, it was tasty. Kids chocolate chip pancake was good. Kids meal good for the price. Our waiter was nice and attentive, forgot her name. Good breakfast brunch if you are in downtown Wichita to try. Eggs are real which usually makes a difference in my breakfast picks.

Kid-friendliness: Nice price and good variety for kids meal.

I used to love this place before the remodel and menu change. It’s strange to be offered soda in bottles, condiments in packets, and plastic picnic salt and pepper shakers. It cheapens the experience, especially compared to the prices. The lighting is cold and stark, and don’t get me started on the child-sized metal chairs.

This morning, I was sat at a table that was sticky with syrup. The coffee mug was overfilled, leaving no room for cream or to stir. My half waffle came out first. By the time it was cold, my omelette came out without its potatoes. Then, finally my potatoes. Three plates on a tiny table.

I went to salt my food and the picnic shaker was set to pour, not shake, so a ton of salt came out making my food inedible. My waitress told me I should be on watch to adjust the top of the shakers. That’s ridiculous, besides the shakers were so greasy and gross I didn’t want to touch them. And who wants seasoning coming from something that a million people have handled?

This place isn’t what it used to be, and that’s really sad. Reading the defensive responses of the owner on other reviews is also a real turn off. Not sure I will ever come back.

Walked in and I was immediately greeted with a friendly welcome. Alexis was very attentive and got me a great cup of coffee. The Chef made a great breakfast burrito. My only regret was finding this place on my last day.

The food and service were great. The ladies room was in horrible shape including a clogged, overflowing toilet and a patron brushing her teeth at the only sink.

First thing I get at a breakfast place is always their eggs Benedict. It’s the standard I rate every place on. Egg Cetera’s is fantastic. It was slightly sweet and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The potatoes were fried well and the pancake was super well balanced (even had some nutmeg or cinnamon).

My husband’s breakfast burrito was amazing and our coffee was hot, fresh, and had great flavor. I would have paid a ton to have this meal at Homegrown and honestly had a better experience!

Highly recommend for a quick-casual breakfast spot that serves more than just diner food!
