Food was ok if you like spicy food for me wasn’t enjoyable couldn’t even finish half of my tostada but besides the food customer service wasn’t what I expected for being a Mexican restaurant I am very disappointed will not be back .

I'm a seafood lover. Everywhere we travel I look for seafood spots and this one might hurt somebody's feelings. The price is about the same as other places we've been to but my order was a little bit too salty. I think the reason why people come here(men specifically) is because the waiters have big booties. I guess that's a way to reel in some customers. My michelada was pretty good though 👌

I have had better fajitas in a frozen microwave dinner.
They were steamed or something. The rice had zero flavour. No guacamole or sour cream or tortillas. Just steamed veggies and meat. The chips they gave me at the table had been refried so many times they were stone hard.
I make better Mexican food. Huge disappointment.

We recently visited El Capitan and, while our experience had some positives, it was not without disappointment. Upon arrival, we were pointed to our table by the server, who appeared visibly overwhelmed and did not walk us over, which felt unwelcoming. It was clear she was doing her best under difficult circumstances, but the strain was evident.

As always, the food was exceptional, living up to the high standards we have come to expect. However, the staffing situation left much to be desired. With only two waitstaff managing a busy Saturday crowd, the service struggled. The noise level made communication difficult, resulting in an incorrect order for one of our friends, though we chose not to bring it up. We were patient, understanding the pressure the staff was under, but we waited for drink refills that never came and ultimately had to get up to request our check.

We know El Captain can do better because we’ve experienced their excellent service in the past. I truly hope management considers hiring more staff to support their hardworking team. It would make all the difference in creating the welcoming and attentive experience we appreciate.

I bought a mixed broth and they didn't put a single shrimp in the broth and a hair came out! But the mixed toast turned out well.

1st time in this place, love the menu variety. Not getting enough information from the server about some food when we asked. Only one server, maybe that was the reason he couldn't spend time with customers. We asked for some missing items on our table and we got up to get it ourselves, because the server forgot. The food was good, though 9 of 10.

No words to explain how delicious was the food. Waitress was the best constantly checking up on us making sure we was well attended. The live music sheesh! Was the best ? WELL
