Food is flavorless. The prices are not reasonable. The dessert menu is super small! And the food is not 100% authentic like the food you would eat in Mexico.

The owner is rude. Like most Hispanic men he expects women to be the ones to cook or know to cook. He was in a conversation with my Husband and his nephew and he asked my husband if I cooked him good food, he most likely brought that up because I’m way younger than my husband, my husband like a good husband said I do. While I was trying to pour my soup in a take out cup the man said “ yes I can tell she knows how to cook” sarcastically because my soup was spilling. Very rude and sexism scenario! And I had just had my baby less than 1 week and he made me feel horrible. Don’t go here.

Seen them advertising on Facebook thought I’d try for a family dinner!! Definitely glad I did. I’ve passed by several times and thought it was a smaller place but when you walk in it’s huge!!! Decorations are amazing and the entire scene they create through out is absolutely beautiful!! Our waitress was awesome and the (owner or manager) was so nice. He gave us complimentary cheese dip, made sure everything was great not once but twice, gave our kids a treat at the end and even walked over to give my son a hat for a good picture while he was riding the mechanical horse. Food was delicious and they served a HUGE portion. Definitely will be back again.

First time trying El Mariachi and was not disappointed in the food. Everything was hit and fresh and tasted so good.The only issue we had was the wait....the wait to be seated was greater than 10 minutes with a near empty restaurant (there were. 2 tables seated inside when we arrived) and the wait for food. We waited over 45 minutes for our food to be served to us,other than that the food was great, theserver was great as well. If you like mexican food i would recommend to try this slight hole in the wall Mexican restaurant

Came in for lunch. It was empty. The waitress was super nice but delivered a small portion of homemade guacamole that was supposed to be a large for the price, but the bowl just made it look that way, it also took forever, I have 2 toddlers so it was hell. The guac tasted straight like lemon, had her take it back for a new one and ordered our food. Took forever! Finally food arrived and my chimichanga was so small I finished it in two bites. They were super friendly but the rest of our experience didn't pan out. Did have a michelada that was good but way over priced!

The carnitas are very good! I was surprised how good they were. I wish the salsa was better, it was pretty bland. I asked for a spicy one and that was nice and spicy but I it could more flavorful. The beer on draft were flat & I wish there was a full bar. I would have loved a margarita. The service was quite slow as well and there were only 3 tables in the entire place.
Wonderful, friendly people. Colorful and fun restaurant. I’m from Oklahoma but if I come back to Wichita, I’m coming here. Absolutely fantastic service.

Sharon was surfing web before Church. Was impressed with what she found. We live in Derby, so the address was way off our route home. Very glad we took a chance . Wouldn't expect to find a gem on East Central, just West of elevated expressway. Took me back to Acapulco in 71. Decor is great. Food even better. Think they jumped to the top of our favorites. Friendly service. Don't expect Margaritas for aWhile. Waiting for liquor license. Beer is good and cold though. Worth the sacrifice.

We went at lunch and they weren't terribly busy. There was only 1 waitress she was trying hard but our order got messed up. They went way out of their way to make things right which we appreciated but didn't expect. The staff was extremely nice and very accommodating and the food was good.

If you blink you'll miss it. But it's pretty large inside and has nice decor, a bar area, several TVs, and a big patio. Also set up for live music. Would definitely be cool to watch a football game here. The food is pretty good but not great. They prefer using a type of mole sauce on their enchiladas which I don't think tastes very good. I didn't think their tacos were very good either. Guess it depends on your taste. But definitely cool to hang out to watch a game when the virus is done.
