A restaurant inside the Marriott Wichita, this location is very laid back. Tables and bar tops of different sizes throughout the space. It can seat large groups.The service was a late dinner and was suspect...took them 10 mins to even offer me a menu, and that was after I flagged someone down. After that, the service was better, but the food was unremarkable. The French onion soup was missing that intense flavor you expected, and the grilled chicken sandwich was sparse. However, the broiche bun was amazing.The Paloma was solid!However, breakfast was a completely different experience... good buffet with choices of fruit, cereal, meat, and breads with an omelet made your way. Service was spot on!

I had the Baked Cedar Plank Atlantic Salmon which was tasty but didn't "wow" me, especially since the food was pretty expensive. I arrived just as they opened for dinner and stayed working on my computer for quite a while; the restaurant went from having only one patron (me) to having most of the main seating area full. As the number of patrons increased, so did the number of staff that I saw, which I feel speaks volumes to management's competence and foresight. The breakfast buffet is served in this area. If you are in a rush, I recommend asking for the check right away. It didn't take them too long to bring it to my table, but I was fretting a little bit while I was eating since I wasn't sure how frequently they checked on the tables. The buffet selection is of a typical continental breakfast. The seats are comfortable, and there are outlets located throughout which was very convenient.

We split an excellent Marriott Burger -- excellent quality and ample beef properly cooked to medium. Reasonable selection of wines, but with high markup. Staff were courteous, efficient, and helpful contributing to relaxation after a long drive with detours. Highly recommended.

Mediocre at best. Server was friendly, but disappeared quickly and never seen again after taking our orders. Pacing was terrible. Our group of four was still eating our salads when one diner’s main course was brought out. Food was lackluster, waters weren’t refilled, no offers of dessert, and had to request the check. Fine dining should be an experience, not just bringing out food. No experience, lackluster food. There won’t be a return visit.

Extra accompaniments were never received. Upon leaving, saw the server was also responsible for serving bar guests and the bar was busy. Decent wines by the glass list although they were out of some selections. Our table ordered the pasta shells, veal chop and salmon with salads and steak soup for starters. Food overall was average, nothing outstanding or notable. The restaurant was recommended to us and, for the prices we expected higher quality food and service.
We dined with friends on a Saturday night. Our server was personable and attentive when we were seated and we ordered. Didn’t see him after that. The wine list was decent. Our meals were mediocre - salmon, veal chop, pasta shells, salads and steak soup. One meal was served and it was quite a while before the other meals were served. We were disappointed and won’t return.

Excellent food in a nice quiet atmosphere. The service was excellent as well. We were pleasantly surprised as this was our first visit to the Fireside Grill. The steaks were grilled to perfection.

When I stay overnight in Wichita at the Marriott, I don’t bother looking for a restaurant that night. I always eat at the Fireside Grille; the food is amazing. Great steaks and large bar selection. There’s always something for the kiddos too.
