Have driven by this place many times over the last couple of months on my way to the gym. Finally decided to drop in for a dinner with the family. Good call on my part. Atmosphere is cool, laid back with classic rock and pop hits mix on the speakers and TVs. I'm a chicken fried steak connoisseur from Texas and chef did it right! Breading was crunchy but light. Fantastic!
This was our first visit. We ordered the chicken fried steak, and the day's special, shrimp scampi over linguine. The house salad was very crisp and fresh with a delicious house dressing. Our dinner was amazing! We were too full on the wonderful meal but when they said they had bread pudding made from their incredible "made from scratch" dinner rolls we decided to get the dessert 'to go'... let's just say the dessert hit the spot later when we had room for it! Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Their Cuban sandwich was amazing. I just got back from Miami which has a lot of Cuban food and my sandwich at Fred and Barney’s was better than the Miami Cubans. I was blown away. Portions are huge as well!
