I’ve been here twice and the first time it was awesome!! the second time service was very slow and the consistency of the ice was different but overall still good!!

Best shaved ice I’ve ever had! SO MANY flavors to choose from and the cream top is delicious! Our family loves to sit at the cute patio area with chairs and picnic tables to enjoy our treats.

If you want hollow in the middle. Big chunk of ice and nasty flavoring. This is a place for you. Do yourself a favor and go to Rock in Rico’s in Derby.

Shaved ice was very very good. Large amount served even in the medium size. Deliciously tasty, could give it a five star plus. Need to go back before Summer's over and they close it for winter. Don't miss it! I wish I had stopped and tried it sooner.

My son and I took full advantage of the 104 degree day and popped down to Funky Monkey on Saturday to try to coo(down. He got the store flavor (banana and tiger's blood), and I got wedding cake with a cream top. DELICIOUS! The person at the window was nice and pleasant even in the heat. This is our 3rd trip to Funky Monkey and we'll be back for sure!

This was my go to place , but every time I decide to go I always check their hours to make sure they’re open. Online it says they are , but the last 3 times I’ve been to the s. rock location they weren’t . I Came to the reviews to see if this is a normal thing for them and it is , reading their reviews I was very shocked & disappointed by the unprofessional & rude responses to their customers feedback , they responded rudely to a customer that they’re not open on mondays but online it says they are so they either need to change their hours online or learn how to respond in a better manner. As a business owner you should value your customers feedback but as the “top rated in the Midwest” your clearly full of yourself. I’m sure my comment will probably blocked or deleted like previous comments . But that’s okay I just think the owner needs a lesson on how to treat customers. There’s plenty of other snow cone places just as good , with better customer service !

Visited on a busy afternoon and the employees closed the walk up window without even a word to customers like me who were already in line. Just taped a sign to the window saying they were short staffed, and to use the drive-through, and closed it. I didn’t bother getting in the drive-through line, and felt bad for the several families who had walked from the Y pool or the surrounding neighborhood to get shaved ice. I also was not pleased with how environmentally irresponsible it is to close a walk up window and leave a drive-through open. The response I received from the owner is more reason not to try going back.

They are always super sweet. Poor girl was all by herself and handled everything! Despite having a long line it moved pretty quick! Great service and great shaved ice!!
