We got there and 3 cars in the lot. Should have realized it wasn't good but I hadn't read the recent reviews unfortunately. Server was either brand new or just completely disinterested. Drinks took forever. Bread was stone cold. Steaks were the worst cut of meat I've had. The best description was when the server asked if my son wanted cheese on his cheese burger. I was so confused. I asked if she meant what kind of cheese he wanted on his cheeseburger?? The only good part was the ambiance. Really fun decor and my son loved that part. Seems like this was once a great place but has fallen on hard times maybe.

Aashika did a great job. She was friendly and obviously new to serving but she has a great attitude If she did not know what I wanted, she got a manager there to make sure that we got what we wanted. This team seemed to work together.The steaks were great in flavor, not too thick, we had ribeye and strip, both priced at $38. I don't eat steak out much as I am from beef country and our local meat markets have wonderful steaks.. But on this occasion, we had steak. It was about an inch thick, and then decreased with cooking, but the flavor was excellent. I ate all of it, not very fatty. The sides were good. The place is very interesting for airplane buffs. We tried Texas Roadhouse and we were too hungry to wait for 50 minutes so we tried this Hangar One and I got all the sauces that we wanted.The one negative was the onion rings. They are a frozen product and I am used to country restaurants who make their own, in fact, I had an onion ring fry job once. The onion rings were ok but not what we wanted.Thank you Aashika and welcome to Kansas.

This used to be my #1 favorite place. We had a large party. All the cool airplane tables and memorabilia is gone. No access to the 3rd floor lounge. The wait staff was very young and slow. The limited menu was great. For the $32 steak meal they wanted to upcharge for gravy. Very disappointed.

1 star because I couldn't post without a star. WARNING long, long, long post ahead but I need to rant. I'm hangry after tonight's nightmare excuse or a dinner lol Hangar One Steakhouse OH MY GOD what happened??? Terrible doesn't even begin to explain! The last time we went was a few years ago and it was fabulous and delicious and in my opinion, an overlooked gem. Today was AWFUL! From the moment we arrived the ambiance was off. Service (lack thereof) was much less than subpar. They were dead, which should've been the first clue but it's early in the week and has a higher price point so it was semi expected. It took way too long for us to get our drinks from a bar that had no other customers and we had to practically beg for bread & butter and steak knives....we were at a steakhouse.....and ordered steak....we were expected to order nearly right away after arrival despite the menu being unclear and having grammatical errors. Once the begged-for-bread was received it was hard as a rock and not able to be cut. It was also COLD. Not room temp but cold like wut?? Our server was very uncharismatic and impersonable and acted as if we were a burden by simply being patrons. We each added sautéed mushrooms for $8 and we got a few slices of soggy mush. We ordered sirloin STEAKS (both ordered as medium) at a steakhouse and got two completely different cuts of meat. One was so overcooked it was like jerky and literally so difficult to cut with the knife we pleaded for. The other was raw and bloody. We asked for it to be cooked longer, because we wanted to be able to enjoy our $50 orders. It came back with a tough and blackened outside while still red and rare on the inside. The vibes in the restaurant are just off and uncomfortable. Very uninviting. Gross, disgusting, overpriced. Don't go and get scammed. Thankfully there was one person there who was kind and tried to remedy the situation. I expressed my gratitude to her and wish I would've asked her name. She deserves so much better than that place!!

Server was friendly and attentive. I ordered prime rib and my wife salmon. Asked for medium rare on the prime rib and it came out cold and brown. It literally looked as if it was cooked last week and placed in a microwave. Top and sides very brown, plate side had a hint of pink. Can't expect alot for $38 but it was by far the worst prime rib I've ever had. Everything else but the salmon was cold as well.

Worst experience at a restaurant in Wichita ever. Meals took 1.5 hours to come to table, drinks were not much better. It got worse after that. The chicken and shrimp meal had zero shrimp (waitress bought some out in separate bowl after we asked about the shrimp). The second wine was not full to level mark and when asked they said they had run out ( felt like we would have been charged for it if we didn't question it). The steak was thin and overcooked. The garden salad we ordered didn't show up but was on our friend's bill. Overall the experience was pitiful. Will never return to this restaurant. I suggest you bypass this one unless you want to waste 3 hours getting bad service and mediocre steak. Management wouldn't assist when we asked to speak with them and gave us a condescending attitude and zero attempt to win back our custom. One star only because you can't post review without zero.

I went on a Monday so it was pretty dead but overall the food was fantastic! Also who can complain about cool plane stuff all around the restaurant and airplane shows on the tv. Definitely would go back if I lived

We stumbled upon this steakhouse while passing through Wichita. I had the KC Strip (shown) and my husband had the prime rib. Everything and I mean everything was beautifully prepared. I gave 5 stars on everything because I really enjoyed our experience however, we were there very early so it was pretty quiet. Although I can’t imagine this place wouldn’t be busy during prime dinner hours. The prices were a bit higher than a place like Texas Roadhouse but so worth it! I would and will go back next time we travel through Wichita KS

There is something seriously wrong the aroma in this restaurant. It smelled fine in the waiting area, but as soon as you walk into the dining area, you're hit with this very unpleasant smell. It was so strong that we didn't even stay to order. The stench filled the entire dining area. I don't know how anyone could eat with that smell. As we were leaving, a lady asked what was wrong, and it told her smelled horrible in there. She said it was there vinaigrette. My recommendation, get rid of that dressing or you'll lose customers before they even sit down. It was so gross.
