This restaurant has a nice vibe and the staff were really nice during our visit. Upfront it seems like the food is overpriced, but the portions are huge. I recommend either sharing a meal or planning on taking half of your food home since they give you so much. I probably could have split my meal into three portions. As for the taste of the food, it was only alright.

Made the stop by Jose Pepper's based on the reviews. And definitely did not regret it! Delicious!!! I recommend both queso and the carnita burrito. The whole family enjoyed their plates. Anytime we stop in Wichita, we will visit!!

The menu was packed with creative and delicious-sounding options, and our server was happy to guide us through the choices. We ended up ordering a few different dishes to share, and every single bite was a flavor explosion! The guacamole was fresh and perfectly balanced, the queso fundido was rich and creamy, and the tacos... oh, the tacos! So tender, juicy, and full of flavor. And don't even get me started on the margaritas - the perfect blend of sweet and tangy. The service was top-notch, attentive and knowledgeable, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The food was good. Salsa is a little too much tomato taste Chips are fresh Our server Julian was great. The women's restraunt was disgusting ! There was bloody remnants from someone as well as poop by another. The sink was wet and dirty. I let the hostess know & they were going to tell the manager. 30 minutes later when I went in nothing had changed. I requested the manager & he assured me it would be taken care of right away & that no one had informed him. I waited a bit more only to find that the only thing they had done was flush one toilet. Nothing else had been attended to. I asked for the manager again & he said he would get to it when he could. There is no excuse for this type of environment. It's clear that some of the staff there is lazy and doesn't care. The manager should have made sure the bathroom was clean!

Yesterday evening a friend and I ate here for the first time. We were enjoying the chips & salsa, drinks, and waiting on our food. I found some golden brown, stringy hair inside my silverware cloth. I informed the waitress, she acted shocked, apologized and took it and then brought me back two "clean" cloths, one with silverware, the other just an extra cloth.So we get our food and my friend had gotten their Mahi Tacos, with rice & black beans on the side. I got the Mahi bowl plus some fresh jalapeños and roasted jalapeños on the side.My friend was eating and the next thing you know they are pulling a LONG, golden brown string of hair out of their mouth along with some of the food. They dangle and drop the hair on the floor beside our booth and I'm like, "Nooo! Keep that as evidence to show the staff."It wasn't really necessary though since the waitress had already saw that there was hair on my napkin.They took off the charge for my friend's tacos so that was alright. But then suddenly we were waiting forever for the waitress to come back like she thought we still wanted to eat their food. ? Once she finally did, I asked for the check since my friend was in the restroom.And my friend still tipped more than decent although the service was weird/spotty/supbar *after* finding the hair and the food was obviously UNHYGIENIC.Their cooks need to learn what hair nets are, perhaps.Won't be eating here again.

The restaurant was very dirty and dingy, but the food was well prepared and the employees seemed to care. They did not have the frozen drinks for the children and they were out of dessert. The mini chimichungas were very tasty. Looks like they are "losing" to Carlos O'Kellys. Too bad. They had a nice bar and cantina area.

We eat here often and it's usually a win! The last visit however, was horrible. Our server ignored us for 20 minutes or so until she brought us water. No chips or salsa. We made our order all at once to speed things up. 10-15 minutes later still no chips, no salsa, no drinks. Server then asked our order again to "verify" it though she wrote it down already. Came by a third time to verify order. I asked for a manager and he was GREAT! He got the ball rolling. They gave us extra everything and they covered for the entire meal. Server was polite and pleasant after that, but in a very sarcastic way that was even more frustrating. Times are tough, money is tight. That's not a way for me to want to spend my dollars there, and I have spent dollars and good tips there!!! Next meal won't be there. I'll spend my money at local places that need the business.

Today my mother and my 16 month old tried Jose Peppers for the first time! The food was AMAZING! The staff was wonderful and patient even when my little guy was quite rambunctious lol. It was a wonderful trip and we will DEFINITELY be back! Highly recomend!
