The food is delicious and the family that runs the place is super friendly. This is one of my favorite lunch spots in town.

Kyoto Garden is a fantastic and authentic Japanese restaurant tucked just beneath ground level on Waterman street that helps give it a unique experience.After hearing how good the food was, and how friendly the staff is from my coworkers, I decided to give it a shot -- I'm glad I did!They have a great selection of authentic food and westernized dishes that appeal to a wide audience. They also have specials for those wanting to try something a little different.The staff there, Sarah and Suk, were the most friendly and welcoming people I've ever met in an eatery. They got to know me while waiting for the food, and you could tell they loved what they did.All in all, the food was delicious, and the staff really tied the whole experience together. If you can, make sure to add Kyoto Garden to your list.

Kyoto Garden is a good place for lunch if you like Asian food. Reasonably priced and portion size is just right for lunch. Very nice staff. I usually get the beef lo mein or one of the teriyaki dishes. I can recommend Kyoto Garden.

I live across the street from Kyoto and finally decided to stop in! I am soooo happy I did! They recommended what was popular (chicken/beef Lo mein). It was delicious! I can't wait to walk back and be a regular customer! They were extremely nice and very helpful! Doesn't hurt they're so close to where I live! Thank you Kyoto Garden!!!!!

Great food, but today when I went in it was at the beginning of a smallish rush. I asked for a Cobb salad with adding avocado, no tomatoes or corn and it comes with blue cheese already, and I had remembered the last time she asked if I still wanted blue cheese so I went ahead and stated that again too. Got my salad and it had tomato’s and corn still and had no avocado so I went back up and told her those things. She removed most of corn and added the avocado, sat back down and removed the tomatoes and removed the remainder of corn I could see. Put the dressing on and immediately then could smell it was ranch instead. I waited for her rush to subside and then told her she had given me ranch and I unfortunately don’t like ranch at all. She poured the blue cheese in a container and I said no, actually it’s already on the salad soooooo....and she kind of stared at me so I said, “well I guess I’ll just eat it like this” it was obvious I didn’t want that salad like that and I should have pushed to just had it re-made, but I just don’t feel like I should have had to push for it. She then goes okay good. (there was now a gentlemen in line to place his order. I even said in both the ones I had to go back up finish up when the others because I can wait). She could also tell that’s not what I wanted to do so I said what is the name of this establishment and only then she said I’ll just make it all again for you I guess. I said no that’s fine. She was upset/annoyed then and just said you can see the name on the outside of the door. Note to you, just fix the dang thing, it was your bad and you were rushed and obviously didn’t listen to my order, so fix it. You made it awkward and made me, a somewhat new customer, feel like I was inconveniencing you for asking/wanting my salad made as I ordered it. Again, food and service was good the two other times I came in so the review is strictly based on my third visit and regarding customer service when stressed or overwhelmed and mainly hoping to reinforce what good customer service means to you and your customers when in a situation that tests you a bit.

First time trying this place. I have to say I’m impressed. Quick service. Super nice people. The food though was excellent. Chicken was crispy not soggy like most Asian style restaurants. The spice was perfect and the flavor was spot on. And the serving size was good for the price. Yes I ate it all but I don’t feel fat.

So the two ladies working behind the counter first of all look like princesses, secondly I haven't had that good of beef bulgogi since my days in Korea! I would recommend to everyone this restaurant! Healthy food, cheap prices, great customer service!
