We had made a reservation for a table and after an hour and a half we were asked to move to the bar, yet there were at least 4-5 empty tables. The drinks were good, but they took a long time to arrive when it wasn't super busy yet. We noticed the phone rang several times and no one answered it when bartenders were standing and talking behind the bar. We ordered crab rangoons and they came out burnt, black, and stunk horribly, so we sent them back and asked for a refund.

Excellent bang for your buck on drinks. I love that there booths encapsulate your group and feels more private. Ambience was a 10! The snack tray with that mac salad? Shut the front door! So good. Staff was cool, too. This is why it's one of my absolute favorite places to go!

I was recently visiting Wichita and had the pleasure of going to Lava & Tonic. I’ve been to tiki bars in San Diego and all over Florida and they rank with the best of them! My sister had the Jalisco Headhunter and I had the Zombie. Both were delicious! Loved the drinks, loved the decor!

My wife and I are big tiki nerds and visit family in KS. I was suuuuper excited when I read that a tiki bar opened in Wichita. I had low expectations for Kansas, but we've been back every year and now my family considers it a Thanksgiving tradition. We had over 11 people and L+T was absolutely fantastic. I had the zombie and it's made just as Donn would, my wife ordered a tiki classic off-menu and they didn't bat an eye - and it was delicious and half the other ladies at our table got the same. Thanks guys for such a memorable night. We will be back and heavily recommended on my tiki nerd groups as a stop. Music was on point and I love the lanterns. The decor could be more immersive. Keep at it! The dive helmet was awesome.
