So I went there last Thursday night 4/25. I arrived there around 9:45 as the first person out of my group. I was greeted immediately with “hi, just to let you know I’m doing last call” and I said “okay well I have 5 others meeting me here” and he said “well they better hurry”. Mind you they close at 11 on Thursday night. So we all get there. We order. Mind you we are celebrating someone’s 21st, we made this our last stop because it WAS on of my favorite places in Wichita. I sent them all there hyping it all up to be the best place ever. Because I genuinely was obsessed with this place. In the past, everytime someone would come from out of town to visit me this is where we would go. So we drink ya know going on with the next 50 minutes and then he tabs all of out. Which okay we are fine with that. EVERY single one of us is a server in town with me included. I have been in the industry for years. Anyways, he tabs us out charges us 20% gratuity on a 6 person table. Which we were not informed on. So that was a surprise but we went on and didn’t say anything about it because we get it other establishments have their own rules. Then he brings us our tabs back to sign. And immediately starts taking our drinks from us and says “we are closed” and one of the girls I was with says “I wasn’t finished with that” and he proceeds to say “well you better get to chugging” WHICH she was drinking the “zombie” and if you’ve ever had one of those they caution you to drink one. So if you think a 21 year old is willing to chug that you’re crazy. It was absolutely disrespectful and I will never be back. So sad, because like I said this was one of my favorite spots in Wichita.

Stopped in yesterday for my daughter's 21 birthday. This is such an adorable place! The drinks were so good! I had a Cosmopolitiki and my daughter had the Tiki Lime Pie. Both were stellar! Awesome vibe. We will be back!

Such a fun place! It takes a minute for your eyes to adjust to the darkness, but after that the atmosphere is amazing. Quick service and the drinks were delicious; I think the Ti-Ki-Lime Pie is my new favorite.

This place is a cool discovery!Their selling point is how intimate they make the atmosphere by not making it such an advertised place on the outside. The only reason I discovered it is by word of mouth.I will say that this place does have a funny smell when you come in but the drinks are worth it!They come in a variety of crazy cool and creative cups and I 10/10 recommend it to anyone looking for a new bar to try.Be careful of just showing up though because you have to be on a waitlist.

I sent enough friend and they had quite a few tables open and said no one showed. But I never received a call. Other than that our server was great and the drinks were fantastic.

We loved this place!! Many choices for fun tropical drinks available. Fun place with an island escape vibe! Advice that you make a reservation, we were glad that we did! It fills up quickly! We will definitely return and will refer friends and family to experience Lava and Tonic!

Words cannot express how awesome this place is. Admittedly hard to find you just have to look for the logo on the door. My friends and I were served by Ashley S and Will. They were very attentive and fun to talk to. Ask Ashley for her specialty, it tastes just like a Capri sun.If you like pineapple on pizza, than you need to come here and try. The atmosphere here is amazing and it's a must for a casual date night or good vibes with friends.

My buddies and I that haven’t seen each other for years went here tonight and the vibes were absolutely unmatched. Cool atmosphere that isn’t overwhelming, drinks are AMAZING, and the bartending staff were flawless. If Ashley and/or Will are working the bar, you’re in for a great time. I’d give 6 stars if I could.
This was my first time at this bar. And it was a great experience. It’s a cute little bar with fun drinks and a very chill atmosphere. I didn’t try the food as I had already eaten prior to arriving but the drinks were good and a fun time was had all around.

Drinks are a little pricy but for the extravagance of it and how strong it was it was definitely worth it. The ambiance is superb but if you don't like surf rock then it might not be your cup of tea.

If you want to go to a bar for any type of special occasion or date night in Wichita this is it. The decor and drinks are just perfect, better than some tiki bars I've seen in other bigger cities. The atmosphere is thorough, down to the music, it's the perfect tiki bar. Fairly quiet too, although that's probably because it's relatively small. The service is also spot on. They let us bring a small cake and our own plates and forks to celebrate a birthday there.
